Were you named after anyone?

First name, one of my mom’s college roommates. Middle name, kind of. But it’s not a family name. Fun fact - i have a baby named after ME and she’s adorable. 

When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday (Tuesday). I was thinking about my dad. 

Do you have kids?

psh. no. but I want kids! 

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Sarcasm is my first language. I grew up on it and occasionally, I have to actively refrain from being sarcastic because I don’t always realize that I’m doing it until someone thinks I’m being mean and my response is horror and guilt and assuring them that “no, you are my  f r i e n d  and I like you a lot, which is why I’m like this!!” 

What’s the first think you notice about people?

idk. no one thing really catches my eye until I know if I can vibe with that person. sometimes I can just tell whether I’ll get along with someone or not and I’m usually right. if i won’t, i don’t notice anything. if i think i will, then the color of their hair. 

What’s your eye colour?

Blue. my parents only blue-eyed child. 

Scary movies or happy endings?

Definitely both. But I lean a little more towards happy endings at the moment. It’s a back and forth kind of thing. 

Any special talents?

I can squeak like a guinea pig and I use to be able to whistle with my nose.

What are your hobbies?

Hiking, writing, reading, sleeping in, and spoiling my niece and nephew as is my inherent right as their favorite aunt. 

Have any pets?

My sweet doggo, Luke! He’s a border collie-blue heeler mix and will be two in September!! He’s an absolute sweetheart and I adore him. 

What sports do you play/have you played?

Gymnastics. 

That’s it. I did it for ten-ish years. Won a state championship once and balance beam was my specialty, with the uneven bars as a close second. I sucked at vaulting. 

How tall are you?

5′3 - which i blame partially on having done gymnastics for as long as I did. But I also think I am the perfect height for a woman, thank you very much. XD

Favourite subject at school?

Reading. History. Pottery. Crime. 

Dream job?

Never had one. But I do work in a prison and it’s pretty tight, not gonna lie. 

I don't have personal contact with DrowningOstrich. I lost contact at the same time she stopped posting back in 2014. And as old as it makes me feel to say it, that was almost ten years ago and while I wouldn't make any assumptions about what has or has not happened, I highly doubt that the DrowningOstrich account will return to activity.

each week following the deadline, he would tell us “i’ll have it to you by f r i d a y. I’m almost done. don’t give up on me.”

and this went on. for two. months. 

TWO MONTHS. past the turn in deadline. our entire editing and printing process was continually put on hold because he INSISTED he’d get it to us. 

and because i can spot bullshit a mile away, i knew we were never going to get it. 

and we didn’t. 

i finally told him that we would not accept his paper and had obligations to other people that we specifically put on hold because of his “promises”. his response after continually lying to us was “i didn’t appreciate this part of the printing process. sorry”. YOU’RE A LAWYER. AND A PROFESSOR. DEADLINES EXIST. FOR. A. REASON. you are smart enough to know that! 

anyways. i’m bitter towards him. not only for lying but because despite his class being an upper level class, he refuses to answer emails. he promises that he will. he hasn’t answered any. he cancels class more often then he holds it. during the only one-on-one meeting i was able to secure with him at the beginning of the semester, he offered to help me get a summer internship doing forensic field work. which was beyond exciting. he said to follow up in two weeks. 

i tried to follow up. did he respond to that email? nooooooo. does he refuse to look me in the eye now? yes. 

he basically avoids anyone he made a promise to because he can’t follow through. 

anyways. i have a research paper draft due today. and i haven’t done it yet. mostly because i don’t care.
