She smiles back. “So, you got the day off today too?” She was curious. Not many people got days off. She only got them when it was raining, when she was sick or when it was just an acting day. Today was another ‘acting’ day.

TIME FRAME: First week

"A week." They won't have a substantial amount done for him to work with for at least a week. The acting won't take long, eight to twelve weeks total depending on how terrible the actors are, and then the rest of the time before releasing it will be editing the piece together and composing the score and all the visual effects. A lot of the actors time is actually waiting around and if he hadn't needed to make an impression, Jackson wouldn't be here. He can picture tons of places he'd rather be.

Jackson bows over the keys that dance under his fingertips. His brows furrow in concentration as his nose almost brushed the ivories, but forehead almost rests on the lip that holds his sheet music. He’s in so deep into this song. It nears perfection for the score; it’s gentle and sweet and almost heartbreaking with the hint of despair. It cries please don’t leave me. It’s for a moment where the couple is together, but they know it’s over.

Clary smiled. That was right. She remembered now. Of course, how couldn’t she of noticed? “I’m on the stunt team,” She smiled. “I can’t stand acting. I hate it.” She smiled back at him and sighed. Around the set was fulled to the brim with overly sensitive actors who offensive to everything. Clary shook her head. She didn’t get all this hype about the Love Games series. I mean, it was just a film series, right? But most of the actors didn’t see it like that. They loved the series with all their heart. Sure, Clary had friends around set, but the Love Games was just a way of doing the thing she loved for money. Simple. She didn’t care for the franchise. Quite frankly, she hated it.

Jackson won't go so far as say he hates acting, he just doesn't like the plot for this. "There are better movies to work for." He agrees in an off-hand way. He smiles earnestly. Just because he is quiet doesn't mean he limits other ways of communication, like body language.

“Nice to meet you Jackson,” Clary smiled. She liked him, he was nice. A lot nicer than some of the other guys on the set. She nodded at his idea, “Sounds like a good idea. That girl’s about One Direction,” She shuddered at the name of the British boyband, “However, I’m more of a Rock or Indie girl myself.” She smiled at him. It was true. She liked music a lot more than she let on. She almost liked it as much as sports. Almost. She definitely liked it more than acting. God, she hated acting. She’d probably rather work in a old, greasy, fast-food place than act. That’s how much she hated it. “So, what do you do around set?”

Around the set? "Nothing I get paid for." He hardly touches the set unless they need extra hands. He wonders if he has a reputation yet after making more than one actor or actress stalk off. He hesitates to reveal what he does for a moment before just plunging forward. If she is going to listen to rumors and judge on that, good riddance. "I'm the composer, I don't go on set."

Clary smiled and sighed, “I’m Clary by the way.” Suddenly, she flinched at the sudden loud noise that was ringing through her ears. Oh my god, what was this crap? Grabbing the iPod and pushing the next button as quick as physically possible, Clary sighed in relief. That was the last time Rachel is borrowing her iPod. Returning the iPod to her bag she looked at the guy again, “Sorry,” She apologised. “My roommate borrowed my iPod and keeps putting loud noise onto it. It gets really annoying.” Clary made a mental note not to let Rachel borrow her iPod ever again.

"Jackson." It is only polite for him to give his name in return for hers. He wonders what she does on set. Is she yet another actress who will run off if I talk too much? He asks himself, thinking of how he'd made Anne run away after insulting the film. He knows he was in the wrong, but that doesn't make him enjoy high school dramas anymore than before. "Make a playlist of just her music." He suggests with a halfhearted shrug.

Clary sighed and shut the book. She had began reading it a while back but it was taking a while to get into it. Maybe she should give up. Smiling to herself, she flicked randomly through her iPod before picking a random song, turning the volume down and pressing play. She really didn’t fancy listening to something to loud at this current moment in time. Smiling to herself, Clary looked around. The park was nearly empty, probably because everyone was working. There were five other people, a couple walking around, an elderly man and what looked like to be his grandchild. But across from her sat that guy that had something to do with music on set. Smiling at him, she said, “It’s a lovely day, isn’t it?”

Jackson looks her over. She had a familiar face, maybe he had seen her on set at some point. He nods to her comment and offers a small smile. She'll learn like everyone else that he isn't much for the spoken word, and probably like everyone else, she'd leave. He should and could make an effort to speak to her, but he knows himself. He most likely won't. He thinks about things he can say, to deepen the conversation. He says none of them.

The first thing that enters Clary's mind as she exits the gym is, fuck it is bright. Pulling on a pair of sunglasses, Clary's mind ran over her schedule for the day. She had no scenes/stunts to do today but still had to stick around just in case. Sighing to herself, Clary walked towards the park near the set. Smiling to herself, she shouldered her bag and sat down on the freshly cut green grass. A couple of meter away sat a guy she had noticed from on set. He was something to do with music she was sure. He was sitting in the sun, staring at the sky while listening to his iPod.

Sighing and taking out her iPod, she plugged it in and found a song. After pressing play, Clary took out her book and began to read.

The symphony he had been listening to ends as the girl sits not too far away. Jackson glances over in passing, but doesn't really see her. His mind is too into the music, basking in the remembered tones like one basks in the afterglow of an orgasm. He slips the headphones off of his ears and listens to the music in the Earth around him after he's done. Among the rustling leaves and wind and birdsong, he can detect faint strains of whatever the girl is listening to. He tries harder, to figure out what genre it could be.
