The Story behind Labores Solis
We are a Hardcore/Beatdown from the shores of sunny Southport,it started off as Kyle and Calum(longtime best friends) who always loved jamming and making music then Conna came along after being in three very unsuccessful bands, then joined forces with Calum and Kyle and we started off with the name 'WE SHOW NO FEAR' and that was Calum & Kyle's original band they had auditioned a few people to jam with but nobody stayed then Conna decided to leave 'AS RUDE AS IT GETS' just so i could try something different as hardcore styled band was the route i wanted to take so i did... and it just got better and better we was reading on some Latin online(as you do aha) then came across the words 'LABORES SOLIS' which means eclipse of the sun. we all loved the name so it stuck. our music has developed from being a generic thrash/metal band to a Hardcore/beatdown band. we recorded our first Ep with a good mate Lee Linaker from another local band called 'WRATHMORE' it was named Eclipse and the track-listing was:

then after recording this ep we started looking for shows anywhere/everywhere and Conna spoke to a Liverpool promoter for 'I love live events' and we got booked for a battle of the bands competition in January 2014 we played that show and to be honest it was s*** because we only got to play 2 songs and nobody there was enjoying us so we went back to writing more material and after a few months we thought why don't we take a step in a different direction, so we did and we started walking down the hardcore route.After this we thought lets play some more shows so we signed up for the D1E Southport BOTB and we got to the final but didn't win(oh well). we then decided to take this root of finding a bassist again an old friend of Conna's suddenly became interested in being our temp bassist(Levi) we played the D1E with Levi and hes still a good mate with us all but we were looking for a permanent member, after the D1E competition we starting looking for a bassist and another of Conna's old mates paddy came along for a jam and he loved it so we were finally a full unit after being a band since September 2013. after the D1E Paddy became our permanent member and he played our first band royale heat with us and we smashed it the energy was flying and the adrenaline was fueled we then got through each round until the semi finals which is the 27th of this month.we played at the ships and giggles in Preston just for a change just after the 2nd heat we played at the fox and goose and we went down a treat we headlined the night and the sound lads at As Empires Burn opened and blew everyone away. after playing Preston we decided to make some new material and scrap the first ep entirely so we did that then realized were going to have no material for anyone to hear... then we thought F*** it lets get back in the studio and record some new heavier stuff and we came out with D3ATH which was recorded,mixed and mastered by our new mate Adam Rodgers ex Our Imbalance

After recording this single we focused on shows and getting us more known and so far we have these dates booked
