mandril's world

B. 1982 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland / Nationality: Swiss Marc Mandril Ferrario, known as Mandril, creates intricate drawings that channel his dual interests in science and mysticism. In his comics he merges these two foundations with the imaginary world to explore urban utopias which intrigue by their detail and precision, and use symbolism insert in meaning where text cannot. The generic of Mandril’s works becomes a mixed technique including the use of Rotring 0.1 , 0.35, 0.25 mm, gouache, watercolours and india ink. Mandril has exhibited at the “Show Off” fair in Paris, and in 2011 created an installation for the Laténium Museum of Archaeology in Neuchâtel. Mandril is a former artist in residence at The Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, China. He lives and works in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
