A 19-year-old nonverbal autistic girl who communicates through written words and has the truly interesting power to see arrows leading her to a place, thing, or person as long as she knows its/their name and can picture it/them. This ability of hers has been proven very useful for locating things and people of interest but not for combat given that she is not a fighter and has no interest in becoming one; instead, she enjoys drawing (which she is very good at) and reading to the joy of her chipper protector and best friend Sairin.

A 21-year-old Japanese girl whose power not only allowed her to float/fly but also summon storms, mist, rain, and lightning; the only minor downside of her powers is the physical changes they caused in her body, mostly horns and a tail resembling that of a Japanese dragon. But to put her abilities aside and focus on her personality for a second, she is chipper as can be and is more than happy to chat with pretty much everyone and loves making new friends, but that does not mean she's all sunshine and rainbows; no, her favorite way of making new friends is through banter, but if people can accept sassing and snarking and slightly over-the-top reactions, then she will be your loyal, compassionate friend forever, willing to throw lightning bolts at whoever upsets you, something she has done multiple times for her best friend, personal guide, and reading buddy Gina Pruitt-Smith.

I like the idea that Charlie doesn't really get romance, crushes, or relationships. So they are very confused when Kayla's heart rate goes up when talking to or about Tayrun.
