I’m an unemployed transgender woman living in wildly conservative Orange County, CA. I had to leave my job because of consistent transphobic and sexual harassment. On July 20, 2025, Jamaria Gaskins and her wife were harassed, chased, and threatened by armed white supremacists in the state of Virginia.

One of the assailants aimed a gun directly at Jamaria while she was driving away, leading to a severe car crash.

Jamaria set up a GoFundMe to assist with she and her wife's recovery shortly after, and as of August 31st, 2025, they have only reached 16% of their goal.

i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3

unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it

i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map

i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs

this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.

crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.

hi!! I'm TDF and I'm physically disabled and living under the poverty line. My income adds up to about 1/3 of the local minimum wage.

I am stuck in bed most of the time because my physical health is so bad, and I have expenses nondisabled people don't.

bc I've already had to borrow money to cover urgent necessities and I'm once again low on several meds and there's one that's more expensive rn bc I am sicker than usual!

and i don't quite have enough protein bars to meet my own protein/fiber minimums for this week

and i also have 3x the mouths to feed as usual and 2 of them have very restrictive and therefore expensive diets due to health needs.

so really any help at all (from an adult who can comfortably afford it) would be deeply appreciated!!

hey everyone - its not a secret to anyone that ive been on The Grind for the past few months. at the moment, ive been putting all of my energy into finishing my diploma work, as the defending date is getting really close.

Hi everyone, I'm Trenton. I've been deliberating making this post for a couple days but it's gotten pretty apparent that I might be running into some money problems in the near future. Currently I'm living in Moldova with my grandmother as a refugee, and while usually my parents are able to help, their money isn't infinite either, and I'm running into the problem of my wisdom tooth growing into an existing tooth which is causing me a lot of pain. They've agreed to help me with that but it will cost us a Lot and I don't want to cause them unnecessary financial stress. I would like to ask for some donations, and as I've mentioned I live in Moldova so even a couple dollars will be enough for a meal or a refill on my estradiol (which is where i plan the money to be going, food and meds).
