I am Maram Al-Nabulsi, I currently live in the completely destroyed 🏚🚀city of Gaza, specifically Khan Younis. Since the war on Gaza began on 10/7/2023, my family - my father Muhammad, my mother Hiba and my siblings Nour, Maram, Mahmoud - have been living in constant fear, crying and suffering because of shrapnel, shells and bullets. We have no food🥘🌯, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools🏢📚, no homes🏚, no cleaning supplies, no clothes🧣🧥🧤. Our house was completely destroyed. My school was bombed, and my sister Nour's university was turned into rubble, which deprived us all of education. The war forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents that are not suitable for living, especially in winter. Every day we live death, terror and panic a thousand times because of the continuous bombing of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble. Imagine: We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times, and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. If we stay in Gaza, we may lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza to a safe place. However, the travel costs are very high. We need more than 70 thousand dollars to leave Gaza. Due to the exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, insecurity, the ongoing blockade, and the continuous bombing, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity💔🙏, with the constant bombing and shrapnel flying above us? In addition to 15-year-old Nour’s ongoing health issues, Nour’s sister Noha recently developed a severe stomach ulcer due to an infection induced by drinking unsanitary water. This ulcer is causing Noha extreme pain and digestive issues, and if it is not treated very soon, will lead to internal bleeding. This ulcer has gone untreated in order to allot more funds for Nour’s ongoing nebulizer treatments, but it has progressed to the point of literally debilitating pain and serious complications. Let’s raise the cost of treatment ASAP so Nour can continue nebulizer treatments and Noha can live her life again!!

Yesterday, Abdul Rahman's mother passed away.

He [@abdulrahman-family1] is beyond devastated, and this is his greatest loss. The earth feels heavy, the tears won't stop falling... Imagine losing somebody who is everything to you. This is how Abdul Rahman felt about his dear mother. He said he can't imagine life without her. Imagine the empty bed next to him, where she used to be...

A few days ago, she was hospitalized. They gave her sedatives, and Abdul Rahman was told that "she doesn't need to be awake now." After that, they discovered that the cancer had spread to her bones, and she never woke up again. Imagine not even being able to say the last "I love you, and goodbye"... I am angry that they didn't tell him that there is nothing they can do and this is the last time he sees her awake!

I am also angry with all of the states and institutions like the World Health Organization that have failed her and him, and did not evacuate her as promised. The doctors promised she would be among the first patients evacuated. We literally begged institutions and states all over the world to evacuate her. They just let her die, knowingly...

And this hurts, this is the deepest betrayal by the world.

They let her die slowly in inhumane conditions... because of insufficient treatment in Gaza, she went through agonizing pain, unimaginable to you and me. My heart hurts so much, and is grieving together with Abdul Rahman's.

This is not just another fundraiser, I'm not going to ask you to share anything. I'm just asking you to read this and feel Abdul Rahman's pain and loss.

Because that pain and loss is not just his, but it is our loss. Our world is losing by letting kind hearts like them suffer in silence, our world has failed humanity, not just Gaza.

And let me add something...Abdul Rahman's mother didn't just die of cancer, but she was, I believe, murdered by Israel. In the recent independent study, uranium was found in Palestinian soil because of the forbidden type of weapons Israel has used. Because of that, there is a rise in aggressive cancers in Gaza, such as the gallbladder cancer she had.

We were expecting a check to come in the mail today that would let us afford our rent and life expenses but it hasn’t come in, putting a lot of stress on us. We need emergency support because rent is due tomorrow, July 4th.

My name is Phoenix and I'm a white, Jewish and Panamanian Latina trans woman and union steward and organizer. I'm married to Olivia, the daughter of Salvadoran refugees, a U.S. naturalized citizen, a union steward, anti-imperialist feminist and writer. We're asking for help today.

I’ve been struggling to even find low wage entry level restaurant jobs and I have been out of work since mid-March after I got fired at my unionized job for allegedly leaving notes with "migrants welcome" and Jewish and Muslim religious symbols outside the living space of an open white nationalist. The fact that this person is a white nationalist is not being denied by my employer, who is claiming I created a safety risk and violated their equity principles by doing this. Meanwhile in the real world Nazis have repeatedly stalked me and my parents and spent years harassing our neighborhood with public rallies. I went through a union grievance process with that employer to return to that job and/or receive backpay and it is being considered for arbitration. The union will be conferring with their lawyer and at the next executive board meeting in August it will be decided upon and I have the impression my case has significant support.

Because I've been out of work, there's been additional financial stress on our household. We also were contacted to foster a new family member who was taken into the care of the state. She has been staying with us for the past few weeks and has rapidly grown in a short period of time.

I recently applied to multiple trade apprenticeship programs including for aspiring tradeswomen and to community college to pursue a degree in a trade. Funding for the trade programs will soon distribute and I’ll have a better idea of available opportunities for work and when. An Employment Access Specialist referred me to the Step Program which as a future SNAP recipient would pay for me to receive trade certificates from my local community college.

The baby receives WIC and as soon as I receive confirmation from child services of future support payments (we have yet to actually receive these in a full amount due to recentness of placement), her SNAP should also be approved. But until then we have relied on parent friends and buy nothing groups to keep us afloat on baby supplies.

Please, if you can share this post, a multiracial queer couple and new foster parents dedicated to serving their community through direct service, union + tenant organizing and socialist political struggle will be able to maintain their housing as we transition into a new and exciting phase of our lives during what has been very financially uncertain and scary times.
