There's no need for artificial light in the room; ironic, since the pulsing source of it comes straight from Rerir's neck- from his arms, his wrists, down his biceps like a lick of magenta flames with the constriction of bandages gone. Curtain of white is impatiently swiped to the side to reach forward, drag sharp canines and blunt teeth across the pale glow of fair, familiar skin. '' I'll ruin you, '' he purrs rustily. '' I'll ruin you in ways no priest or priestess could ever absolve. '' Claws wrap around thights to drag closer, closer until they're flush, and he's eager to lap flat tongue against pulse where blood and magic both flow through elegant, ancient limbs. Possessive. Excited, the core of his chest missing and yet still throbbing with life. '' I'll ruin everyone else for you, too. You'll o longer see reason- none. Except for me. ''
Flins does not pull away.
The threat settles between them like incense in a forgotten chapel, heavy and sweet; and for the briefest heartbeat Flins simply watches Rerir through half-lidded eyes. The azure light slumbering beneath his own skin answers the magenta glow in quiet pulses, his fae marking usually hidden beneath his Ratnik uniform now exposed and glowing in tandem with the pulsing abyssal corruption; answering each other in their own language and dance.
Then Flins smiles. It is small and dangerous.
"You speak as though I frighten easily."
His voice is barely above a whisper, warm enough to melt frost from stained glass. One slender hand finds the back of Rerir's neck, fingers threading into pale strands before tightening just enough to keep him there, not forcing, merely reminding. His other hand glides slowly along Rerir's shoulder, tracing the newly bared lines of glowing skin where bandages had once hidden the light.
"Do you truly think I'd tremble because a Sinner promises to ruin me?"
A soft laugh escapes him, low and breathless.
"What an awfully tempting offer."
Instead of retreating, Flins closes the last sliver of distance himself until the space between their lips is scarcely more than a shared breath. His forehead rests lightly against Rerir's for only a moment, enough for their lights to mingle in shades of violet and blue.
“You misunderstand something, Rerir. I was never searching for absolution.” His fingers curl against the nape of Rerir's neck, not possessive enough to cage, but enough to linger.
"And as for ruining everyone else, " His gaze flickers from those familiar crimson eyes to the mouth that had made such dangerous promises.
" ... you may find you've started too late."
Another heartbeat.
Another impossibly small inch stolen.
"My thoughts have been wandering back to you for far longer than I'd ever admit." His smile widens into something quiet, fond, and wanting.
"So if you're determined to become the reason I lose mine ... " Flins murmurs, his breath ghosting warmly across Rerir's mouth, " ... then you'd best make certain you can keep up with the consequences."
conversations through the night have led him here, rising from his position by the campfire with a modest curve made wider by the shadows cast beneath his lips. It's a bold, if not unexpected move which guides him around the fire toward Flins, his poise kept pristine despite the alcohol still warm in his throat. Tartaglia extends a hand, palm up, and hides the other behind his back — more for flair than any depth of intention — as he falls into an elegant arc.
The silence is fleeting; the unspoken invitation in Tartaglia's gaze toward Flins is given shape, at last, by the quiet spill of his words. "Let me steal you for a dance, dear Ratnik."
For the briefest heartbeat, The Lightkeeper only looks at the offered hand.
The campfire crackles between them, embers lifting into the night like tiny wandering stars. Around them, laughter and conversation of their friends and comrades continue in soft, distant waves, but they blur into little more than background noise.
Flins' gaze drifts from Tartaglia's upturned palm to the crooked smile beneath it, reading the practiced flourish, the confidence worn as easily as a favorite coat.
A dance. He asks.
There had been a time when invitations like these belonged to another life. Bright halls. Polished floors. Boots that stepped for celebration instead of pursuit. Before rifles. Before graves. Before azure flames became more familiar than candlelight.
A quiet huff escapes Flins, somewhere between amusement and disbelief. It's not the first time he's danced with a charming enemy and my, does this opportunity keep presenting itself.
Flins lets the silence linger just long enough to become teasing before slipping his gloved hand into Tartaglia's. His lantern sways gently from where it hangs at his hip, the azure flame inside giving away to rose tint color before burning again with its usual azure color.
"One dance, dearest Fatuus," he concedes, his gloved fingers curling with surprising warmth around the Harbinger's hand.
"Although," he adds, allowing Tartaglia to lead him away from the firelight.
"I should warn you." His striking, pupilless yellow eyes catching the glow of the flames as they turn.
"I am out of practice and may not know the contemporary dances of your … Majesty's court. Do forgive me, Mr. Tartaglia, if I stumble."

Extraterrestrial Satellite Communication | Flins, the Gravekeeper of Fallen Stars ◆◆◆◆◆
"The stars remember every Ranger ... even when the universe forgets. If no one else comes for them ... then I will."
Name: Flins
Faction: Galaxy Rangers
Title(s): The Gravekeeper of Fallen Stars • The Last Sin Thirster • Keeper of the Silent Moon
Element: Lightning
Path: Nihility
Combat Role: Main DPS / Debuffer
Background
Flins was once an ordinary Galaxy Ranger, a steadfast soul who carried The Hunt's justice into the darkest reaches of the cosmos. That life ended the day he was captured by Dr. Primitive. He was found to be immune to the memetic virus that transfigured his fellow comrades, Dr. Primitive submitted him to a more grueling experiment.
A fragment of The Nihility's shadow was sealed inside Flins's body, forcefully creating what would later be classified as a Sin Thirster. The experiment was expected to erase his identity entirely, leaving behind only an empty vessel swallowed by the endless void. It … failed.
Dr. Primitive had accounted for flesh, blood, and biology. He had not accounted for a Galaxy Ranger's will. The unwavering fire of justice that burned within Flins refused to be extinguished. Instead, that flame fused with the living shadow of Nihility itself. Flins died that day, but the fire never did. His soul became something impossible: a being whose body is woven from Nihility while his heart still burns with the light of the Rangers. The result is neither living nor dead.
A walking contradiction.
The Sin Thirsters
Sin Thirsters are beings consumed by the shadows of Nihility. They wander an endless cycle between reality and the void, emerging only to inevitably return to the desolation that birthed them. Bereft of purpose, memory, and companionship, they drift through eternity alone. For any Galaxy Ranger, such an end is considered among the cruelest imaginable. To spend one's life chasing justice… Only to vanish into a darkness where no star can guide the way.
Flins remains the only recorded individual to have escaped that fate.
He now dedicates his eternal existence to ensuring no other Ranger is ever abandoned to the shadows.
The Silent Moon
Far beyond the common star routes lies a lonely moon that no civilization claims. There, beneath an endless sky of dying stars, Flins has built a cemetery. Many Galaxy Rangers perish where no one can recover them. Some are swallowed by black holes. Others vanish into forgotten battlefields, nameless planets, or the Nihility itself. Their sacrifices fade until no one remembers they ever existed. Flins refuses to allow that.
Whenever a Ranger falls, he follows the light of their final star, retrieves whatever remains can still be found, and grants them the resting place they were denied.
Every grave bears a name.
Every name is remembered.
Every Ranger is mourned.
The moon has become sacred ground, a place where surviving Rangers may grieve without conflict.
As the Galaxy Rangers fracture through internal disputes and competing ideals, Flins refuses to pledge himself to any Lead Hunter. He remains solely the caretaker of the dead, declaring the Silent Moon to be neutral territory where all Rangers may lay down their weapons, if only for a little while.
Until the Rangers remember what they once stood for … He waits.
Personality
Quiet, patient, and deeply compassionate, Flins carries an almost melancholic gentleness. He speaks softly, never raising his voice unless another Ranger's life is threatened. Despite walking the Path of Nihility, he has never surrendered to despair. Instead, he embodies quiet perseverance, a belief that even the smallest flame is worth protecting against an endless darkness. He rarely speaks of his own suffering. He would rather remember others.
Combat Information
◆◆◆◆◆ (5-Star)
Element: Lightning
Path: Nihility
Role: Debuff-Oriented Main DPS
Flins weakens entire enemy formations before engulfing them in the violet flames born from the union of justice and Nihility. His damage scales heavily with Effect Hit Rate, rewarding teams that consistently apply debuffs while enabling devastating Ultimate damage.
Technique — Lantern Before Dawn
Before combat begins, Flins manifests spectral will-o'-wisps that drift across the battlefield. Upon entering battle, enemies immediately receive Will-o'-Wisp Field and Flins receive 2 stacks for Funeral Pyre, reducing DEF.
Skill — Gravekeeper's Lantern
Flins summons jagged violet lightning spikes from beneath every enemy, striking all opponents with Lightning DMG. The attack creates a Will-o'-Wisp Field, reducing all affected enemies' DEF for several turns. While enemies remain inside the field, additional debuffs applied by allies contribute toward charging Flins's Ultimate.
Ultimate — Funeral Pyre of Fallen Stars
Energy Requirement: 9 Debuff Stacks
Rather than consuming Energy, Flins charges his Ultimate through accumulated debuffs inflicted upon enemies. Once 9 total debuff stacks have been accumulated, he unleashes the flames hidden within Nihility itself, dealing massive Lightning DMG to all enemies. Damage scales primarily with ATK and Effect Hit Rate, transforming every successful debuff into additional destructive power. Any excess debuff stacks beyond nine are retained, allowing charge to carry over into the next Ultimate.
Voice Lines — Flins
First Meeting
"… Another traveler? Forgive me. Visitors are rare this far from the star routes. My name is Flins, a Galaxy Ranger, or ... what remains of one. If you've come searching for someone who never returned home ... tell me their name. I'll help you find their star.”
Greeting
“Welcome back. The moon is quiet today. That's a blessing. Sit for a while, if you'd like. The dead never mind company.”
About: Self
"Many think me immortal or heavens, a Self-Annihilator. They're mistaken. I died a long time ago. This body may belong to The Nihility, however, the only thing remains is the promise I made as a Ranger. As long as that promise burns ... I'll continue walking.”
Hobbies
"I maintain graves. Some might not call that a hobby. Every headstone is carved by hand. Every flower is planted because someone once loved the person beneath it. Memory fades much faster than stone.I'd rather carve another name than allow one to disappear."
About: Boothill
"Ah. The cowboy. He's made me aware where the Galaxy Ranger Tiernan rests on The Lands of Dreams. I'll have to travel to Penacony to pay my respects to an old friend.
About: Boothill
Updated after completing Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail
"He's loud. Reckless. Inappropriate at almost every possible opportunity … when someone laughs that loudly after everything they've survived … perhaps the future of our faction isn't quite as hopeless as it seems."
About: Rappa
“Ah, many spirits have whispered to me they appreciated her song and enthusiasm … hmm? Yes, this spirits of the fallen. Do you not hear them? One is reciting her Ninja edict just right there.”
About: Ashveil
“… forgive me, I'm not familiar who that is.”
About Ashveil:
Updated after completing Real Holy Laughter!
"After everything we've lost ... after every empty chair, every funeral, every name carved into this moon ... he carries them all."
Flins uses his flames to scare the waywards souls in the air before turning his attention back to the Sinner. “I have sent away what was disturbing you. You are most welcome." He even bows, hand over his heart. Clearly, that is what Rerir meant.

Even the most cunning soldier recognizes when he's been cornered. By his own hands and what he thought was knowledge of the fae language, which, Rerir is sure, is even funnier to the fae snuggling in his hold. However... there's no real anger in him. Not quite. A flicker of irritation, perhaps, redirected at himself for the impulsive decision.
This changes nothing between them, does it? The bond between them was already present, this confusing ping-pong between drawing their weapons in a lethal dance before ending up in the same bed, claws woven in long hair. It's confusing. It's exciting. The Sinner wouldn't know which adjective to pick best, which just makes the situation more garbled in his mind.
...Husband, huh. Something warm catches in his chest. '' You could try to sound a little less pleased about yourself, '' he grumbles, with no real bite. He'd never tell, but the damned fae is right: this has happened countless times already for them not to have fallen into rhythm with it. Almost absent-mindedly, he tucks a lock of indigo behind the pale skin of Flins ear, his other arm securing him better around slender waist. '' You wanted this. You did nothing to correct me- you wanted this. You wanted me. '' Of all people. Him. What a confounding concept...
Flins makes a quiet, pleased sound when Rerir’s fingers brush his hair back. Once they were claws, perhaps still are, but they are no longer sharpen to tear Flins to pieces. The strength and corruption still apparent in those abyssal hands, but now they are tame.
Gentle, even. It’s a small thing, such a simple gesture, but the fae leans into it like a creature that has discovered warmth after a long winter. His cheek turns slightly against the touch, dark lashes lowering as if savoring the moment. The sly grin Flins wore before softens at the edges, melting into something gentler, fond in a way he rarely lets himself be.
Flins stays tucked comfortably against Rerir, arms loose around the sinner's waist, nose nudging idly against the fabric at his shoulder. There’s a quiet little hum in his throat, content, thoughtful, and the sound of someone fitting himself into a place.
“You say that like it’s a revelation,” he murmurs, voice warm with amusement.
When Rerir’s arm tightens around him, Flins tilts his head just enough to look up at him. His smile turns crooked again, less victorious now, more knowing.
“How could I have stopped you? Of course I wanted it. However, it's no spell. It's not even vows the same fashion as how mortals marry. It is simply … poetry. A song from one own's heart, calling to another, joining them in reverie.”
Flins explains as he recalls the words and a tender smile draws across his pale features. It has been such a long time since he heard another speak the fae tongue. While they were some errors in pronunciation on Rerir's part, it was nonetheless beautiful.
Flins lays his head against Rerir's chest and closes his eyes, smiling softly. His nose brushes briefly along Rerir’s jaw in an affectionate little nuzzle, bold and unbothered. Then he sighs, content as a fox curled in stolen blankets.
Flins lets himself be caught with theatrical ease, laughter puffing softly from his chest as Rerir pulls him closer. The lightkeeper's arms slip around Rerir’s middle, the cape draping around him and enveloping him and his azure light.
The lightkeeper leans his weight against Rerir as though he belongs in his embrace, because apparently, he does as they are indeed married by fae law. Unbeknownst to the sinner, but perfectly calculated by Flins.
A slow grin curls across the fae's face, sharp and delighted, the kind of smile a fox might wear after stealing a hen and leaving no feathers behind.
“Mm, look at that,” he hums, voice lilting with mischief. “Much like how we fought countless times. I, caught up in your arms. You must enjoy this, seeing me like this.”
...Why is there a shovel in his hands? He didn't picked THAT up. He totally did not. '' ...Aren't we already both dead? Why would we need to dig graves? ''
