1 month until The Rise of Skywalker! I’m a big ball of nerves and emotions, so maybe I’ll channel some of that into new drawings over the next few weeks...

I stoked Ren's conflicted soul. I knew he was not strong enough to hide it from you, and you were not wise enough to resist the bait.

I was in a monoprint workshop yesterday, and as usual, this guy was my muse. He’s so much fun to draw.

When in doubt, draw a space prince.

This piece was inspired by my favorite WIP and one of my all-time favorite authors - Cream by @ao3animal.  She writes quirky stories with deep mysteries and nuanced characters that I never fail to be completely obsessed with. And I absolutely live for every time Benjamin gets to lay his head in Rey’s lap so she can pet his hair. It’s so SO good!

I got the Hot Toys dolls a few months ago to use as reference for my fanart drawings, but I liked this photo so much that it seemed pointless to re-draw it. Oh well. Nice photography is an art form too, right?

My greatest wish for EpIX is that we finally get to see Ben Solo smile. 

I got the idea for this drawing after watching the Laendler dance scene in Sound of Music, but mostly I was just excited to have an excuse to draw Rey and Ben with fancy clothes and pretty hair.

I’m the type of artist who desperately needs to have reference photos to work from, so I’m incredibly grateful to the people who fill my feed with beautiful photos of the Star Wars actors and actresses to use as inspiration. My Reylo fanfic drawing for today was inspired by a delightful fantasy AU called The Girl and Her Dragon by Thelittlescrimshaw (aka @littlemanicmonday). Rey is an apprentice mage to a charmingly grumpy dragon named Kylo, who has taken her under his wing (ha!). It is eventually revealed that Kylo used to be a prince before he was transformed into his current state by a spell, but he still manages to visit Rey’s dreams in his human form. *swoon!* I have such a soft spot for Reylo fairy tales, and this one is SO good!  

*Confession time - This was supposed to be a tempera resist painting, where you paint ink over tempera paint and then wash it off so that it looks antiqued. But I ended up liking the ink-less version better than the inked one, so I’m not technically Inktobering today.  

This prompt made me think of another piece of fanfic that I absolutely adore - Satellites by gizkas (aka @gizkasparadise). The story features Senator Ben Solo and Jedi Rey hiding out at Varykino on Naboo - it’s SO dreamy!  

And then the poison — what must be poison — kicks in, acts fast.
