Defoor Proformance Shooting

Coming late August. Took it past 100 yds with the tripler hitting B8s. Still deciding on which zero. T2 makes most sense. Pushing through round count until it malfunctions. So far very impressed. BCM did well.

IMO- any MIL/LEO must be able to guarantee multiple all A zone hits from 50 yds. Optic doesn’t matter at this distance. I think with most metrics three times in a row is good too. This is all proper foundational skill build up. After, the journey for the speed at which you can do it never stops.

The 25 yd speed bull (90 plus under 10), or even speed A zone will always be applicable. Speed and accuracy should not be competing efforts. Even with the trigger freeze here it’s still gets the job done. Perfect shooting doesn’t exist. Train to fix problems in real time and understand the journey for speed and accuracy never ends. Having a thorough understanding of Time, Force and Space in a fight and knowing how to steal each back during the actionis an absolute.

Standing 50 yd bills, majority alpha, should be a layup if fundamentals are solid. I get all students here by day 2. Rifle classes 10 yds to 100 or 300 with speed and accuracy in every position. Open classes at link in bio.

Carbine Test 3- optic doesn’t matter. Multiple students do it with RDS, RDS +Tripler, LPVO on various settings . Vid of me on my YT doing it with irons. ….NRA B-8 Target. From the standing low ready (on safe, long finger no cheekweld) position 100 yds away drop to prone and fire 10 rounds under 12 seconds and score 90 or better. Overtime or underscore is fail.

Carbine Test 2-

USPSA target. Run 50 yds to the 100 yd line, drop to prone fire 2 rounds to the body. Run to the 50 yd line fire 2 rounds to the body standing. Run to the 25 yd line fire 2 rounds to the head standing. Run to the 7 yd line and fire 2 rounds to the head standing . A =5, C=3, D=1. 1 minute time limit. 18 points in body to pass, all 4 head shots in the head with 2 in the head A zone. Overtime or underscore is fail.

Pistol Test 2- USPSA target. Run 50 yds holstered to the 50 yd line draw fire 2 rounds to body, run to 25 yd line fire 2 rounds to body , run to 15 yd line fire 2 rds head, run to 7 yd line fire 2 rounds head. 40 second time limit. 16 points in body to pass. All 4 rounds in head to pass with 2 being in A zone. Violation of long finger or muzzle safety is fail. A=5, C=3, D=1. Over time or under score is fail.

100 yd standards

Pistol Test 4 is a solid look at many skills. All alpha under 10 is pass. Upcoming pistol classes;
