New illustration based on a scene from The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. It came to my attention by one of my lovely Patreon members that there’s not much fanart of a joyous Addie, so I obliged! SPOILERS for Addie LaRue below: This scene was probably the most joyous scene in the book for Addie. As an artist, imagining having to live 300+ years and watch any mark you make disappear I felt was the worst part of Addie’s curse. The moment Henry made it possible for her to paint again, especially her name, and tip-toe around rule of the curse was elating and so so satisfying. Literal Letters of Marque.

I’m sorry but the people who read Addie Larue and walked away saying she had no depth or no motivation or wtf ever lack basic reading comprehension skills. The book literally mentions multiple times that she is operating on pure spite. There are multiple times she wants to give in but doesn’t because there is more beauty to be seen and more ways to make Luc mad about the fact that she won’t give in. “She never does anything important.” Girl is literally fighting the ocean alone. No one can remember her, but she still wakes up and gives her heart to people who see her as a stranger. Over 300 years and she doesn’t stop trying to experience love and happiness. God, you must be so miserable and end result motivated to not see how good this character is.

Pretty typical story-wise. Aisha is a little cringe but that gets better as she starts to see Hades and Able as real people and they become a family. Sweet and wholesome.

Chapters 26 - 46

The plot is starting to kick in. The Church is up to some shady shit and there's more to Aisha then meets the eye. Has the potential to be interesting!
