In today's youth I see an obsession with mortality. Not desiring it, exhausted understanding. The danse macabre is a stagger not a jig, So they learn its inevitable beat and laugh.

Not desiring it. Exhausted, understanding the change has already happened, so they learn it's inevitable. Beat and laugh- Laugh at the complacency they're taught from birth.

The change has already happened: Is the madness and dissolution really a new infection? Laugh at the complacency they're taught from birth is the only healthy reaction to their world.

F Clamp: You like using the right tool for the job, you believe that if you know what you’re doing there’s no reason to choose easier over better.

G Clamp: You believe in not making a job harder than it has to be, you like your surroundings to be stable and reliable, you try to be a supportive friend. 

C Clamp: You have never seen the letter C, or you work with lighting technicians too much. In either case you actually mean a G clamp.

Magnet Clamp: You’ve never done a day’s honest work in your life, you wait in line for Apple products on release day, you think Deep Space 9 was great.

Band Clamp (ratchet straps): You believe improvisational comedy is high art, you do not study for tests, you say “wung it” as the past tense of “wing it”

Spring Clamp: You never waste money on those tools for grip strength workouts, your handshake crushes bones, you think crabs are cute.

in the last year i’ve been dumped cos i’m too depressing to be around, directed my first failure, had my first lead in a comedy, spent far too many hours on my side blog, directed my first touring show, and just generally done everything on automatic.

I don’t think I’ve really made a single decision in the last twelve months, I’ve just followed the most obvious path and let things happen.

It’s a kind of half life, thanks to the magic of modern medicine I ain’t about to end my life, but at this stage it really feels like I’m not actually living.

I don’t like celebrating birthdays. it always feels kinda selfish, but it’s been like two hours since I turned and I’ve already had a bunch of people remind me how I’ve not made any progress in the last year so I guess I should acknowledge it.
