I thought it was about time I made a main masterpost so here's that. I'm Kuri, she/him.
I do a lot of drawing, writing and worldbuilding, and I have a bajillion projects bouncing around my head at all times (see my AU counter for reference). Some of my works are intended for mature audiences and I am an angst writer at heart, please mind the tags and the ratings, I am not here to curate your experience. I am learning to use my queue, but I am busy full-time irl so there may be pauses and long stretches between updates.
My asks are always open, though! Please drop in and ask me about my AUs and writing anytime. I try to answer asks as soon as possible; if I'm taking a while with yours, I'm probably drawing something for it.
Fic requests are currently CLOSED. Art requests for TMNT are OPEN.
Current hyperfixations are audio dramas, character design, martial weapons and armor, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Peeling off the broken breastplate of a stoic knight who only fights and never speaks, just to realize there’s nothing in there. Not metaphorically—the armor is literally empty. It doesn’t appear to affect him. If the armor stays mostly in the shape of a knight, he just gets back up to keep fighting. But with the chest plate off he just sits there, equally impervious to curiosity as I reach up into the cavity where his body might’ve gone. Stubbornly, no answers are found anywhere in there.
So I forge him a new breastplate and on the inside, because I know he has plenty of room, I put a little pocket. Not big enough to hold anything functional of course. Just a little extra piece to see what he’ll do with it.
He comes back next time with some grievous injury to his nothing, presumably from the massive shredded gash across his thigh plates. He sits and waits. I fix it for him. He is still nothing in there. I decide to add a drawing on the inside, of the type of beast I imagine could rend metal into scraps with a single blow. He puts it back on. He no longer moves as if he is injured.
Over time the interior of the knight becomes decorated with whatever odds and ends I could think to attach to the inside of a guy who’s got room to carry it. What really gets me is that he never removes any of it. Never requests a change. Not even when I installed a curtain rod for a small tapestry, or a bud vase to carry roses for his beloved, or an accordion folder for letters. He didn’t say a word for any of the many, many drawings of mythical beasts that now fight forever inside of his shell.
There are plenty of other forges. I’m not entirely sure why he keeps coming back here anyway. We’re pretty popular, but he could get his armor fixed a lot quicker (and with fewer ridiculous modifications) literally anywhere else. I asked him if I could get a look at his nothing again. He flipped up his visor and nodded his head so I could take a look. It was the same as it had been, filled with drawings and trinkets and weird little fixtures I’d put in there. I asked if he was annoyed by it, or liked it, or felt anything at all, but he literally only ever says nothing, so I’m not sure why I asked.
There’s not much room left in his nothing now. When he comes back for repairs I’ve had to fix my own foolish additions. Some of these pieces are intricate and irritating to repair, but I fix them anyway. It feels wrong to take any of it away from him now, even though I’ve been rudely encroaching on his nothingness to the point where it’s barely even there. How he squeezes his nothing back into a body so full, I’ll never understand. But it’s a game to me now, finding a spot not yet filled and putting something there. A dark part of me wonders if he ever gets filled up completely, if whatever sorcery holds the nothing-knight together may break, and it will all clatter unceremoniously to the floor.
When he hands me his breastplate yet again, it is so shockingly disfigured that I wonder if being made of nothing has somehow kept him alive. No ordinary knight could sustain such injuries. So I fix it. And he waits, unmoving, in a quiet corner of the forge. It’s like he’s watching, even though I know the reading glasses I put inside his helmet were just for fun. I’m careful to put it all back exactly the way it was when he last left. There’s no room to add more this time.
He examines the breastplate, and pauses before putting it back on, like he’s looking for something. Is he worried about the fit? But it suits him just as it always did. He calmly points to a little space, about an inch, between a miniature shelf and one of many pockets. There’s nothing there. I ask him what’s wrong, and again he points. It’s the most emotion I’ve ever seen from him, and it’s barely anything at all. I take it to mean he wants something there.
I spend some time engraving a little snail in the gap. He watches, as much as nothing can watch. When I’m finished he holds the breastplate, but he doesn’t put it on right away. I ask him if something’s still wrong. He says nothing, and puts it on. I tell him I can’t add anything else. Even if he could ask, there’s no room left.
Next time he comes back, there’s nothing wrong with his armor—he lets me check to make sure. I ask him what he’s doing here. Out from one of many pockets, he retrieves a tiny rusted knife. It’s in miserable condition, barely worth saving. I tell him I could make him a nice new one, but I’ll fix it if he likes. He puts it away and reaches around to find something else, a needle and thread. Better condition, but I’m not a sewist and I tell him as much. He puts them away. He then retrieves a little twisted piece of wax paper. I open it. It’s candy. I ask if I can eat it. He says nothing. I eat it. It’s flavored with cinnamon. I’m surprised he let me take it.
He keeps bringing me candy now. His armor is the most laborious to repair out of every client my forge serves, but it’s my own fault so I can’t complain. Sometimes he keeps me company while I work. I wonder if he is trying to tell me something when he hands me mints. I wonder again at the lemon lozenges. He stares at me when I eat, as much as nothing can stare.
One day he brings me a little jar of honey. I thank him, I tell him I’ll save it for dinner. He watches me work, he puts his repaired armor back on, and he stays. My shift passes slowly, and when I finally pack up to leave it’s dark outside. He follows me out of the forge. I ask him where he’s going. He points to the jar in my hand. I ask him if he wants to watch me eat it. He says nothing, but the nothing-knight clearly wants something, so I open the lid and dunk my finger in the honey. I try not to get any on my chin. He stands there, inches away, watching me try to consume this jar of honey without a utensil. It tastes like clovers. About half the jar is left when I’ve finally had enough of pretending to be a bear, but he doesn’t move to leave.
I ask if he’s going to follow me home. He says nothing. I tell him he can if he wants to. Again, nothing. I start walking, and he follows at my side. I know he’s not going to say anything ever, so I fill the silence. I tell him I’m grateful for the sweets, I tell him about how his various components are made, I tell him I’ve never met anyone made of nothing before. I tell him it’s a rare opportunity for a smith to work so much on the inside of something. He says nothing. I tell him again how much I like the candy.
It occurs to me that maybe filling me with sugar is as close as he can get to filling someone else’s empty armor with trinkets. I’m not sure if that’s really why he does it. I tell him I don’t have room to be filled with anything on the inside, not like him. I’m not a container for much besides food. He offers me another piece of candy. Maybe he likes containing something, the way I like to feel full. Maybe it’s nothing at all.

This is a good time to let Aphblr know that, if we were all residents of Phoenix Drop and the Irene Dimension crew left the day the finale came out, we’d be over half way through the 15 years by now :)
This week's @weeklymagmas theme was Battle Damage! I only got one of my pieces done this week, but the other will be featuring in a longer post with the rest of the magma pieces I haven't been able to finish in the past few weeks.
This one is canon to In Case of Unforeseen Circumstances, Smash Glass!, my first ever bad future and my first Rise AU. SG Leo loses his arm when he's in his late teens-early twenties, not long after Splinter passes. In all my previous drawings of him you may notice that his prosthetic includes his shoulder and the port is in the side of his torso; while his shoulder was later removed in surgery due to complications and damage that couldn't be treated at the time, Leo's arm was only torn off at about mid-bicep.
Blood and dismemberment under the cut. Great practice for drawing injuries!
Can we ask for aus from the roulette list for doodles??
Yes, you can! At the time of me writing this post, there's just about 1000 roulette AUs. Now, some of these are multiversal, either a big cross of every universe or just sliding turtles around the universes in various different ways, but for the most part these are just normal single-universe separated AUs.
The iterations we have on tap for the roulette are Rise, 2012, Mutant Mayhem/Tales, 2003, Bayverse, IDW and Magic the Gathering. Each of these have 100 AUs spun, and more likely to come in the future. Also with 100 to their name from our Scrambled section is Quarter Cup and Teaspoon Halves.
You can give me any turtle from any iteration and a number from 1 to 100, but you can also give me any turtle and any number up to 1000 to see where you land. I'll also take requests for any turtle raised by any specific character; just about every side character from each iteration has been rolled as a parent or sibling.
Often, doodle requests will go into the queue with all my other posts and I don't check my inbox super often, so it may be a while before you see your doodle, but I'm determined to clear my whole inbox one of these days so it will get doodled.
Trying to recommend people watch Yu-gi-oh is always an insane pitching experience because the basic premise, what the show's about, and the actual meat-and-potatoes plot mechanics are all extremely different from one another.
The premise for DM is that some kid has an amnesiac ancient egyptian ghost haunting him and various billionaires are going to try to divest him of his jewellery. What DM is about is platonic devotion, staying true to your friends, the all encompassing power of love, and the eventual burden of moving on from death. This entire thing is painted in the aesthetics of 90's punk and visual kei.
The premise for GX is a kid attends card game high school and goes on wacky adventures. What GX is about is growing up, about seeing the world get more and more dark as you get older until you don't think you are the same person anymore, and having to hold onto the things that make you you. The later seasons draw heavy inspiration from lovecraftian cosmic horror.
The premise for 5Ds is a street punk has to team up with new friends and old enemies to fight on behalf of ancient south american space gods. What 5Ds is about is classism, and tools of oppression in a hi-tech futuristic society that is literally powered by magic. The visual language ping pongs between classic cyberpunk grunge and ultra sleek hypermodern.
The premise for Zexal is a different kid with a different amnesiac ghost that lives inside his necklace team up to find his memories. What Zexal is about is human connection, about reaching out a hand into the dark, about not being alone, and the pointlessness of war. This entire thing is themed with elements of the christian bible.
The premise for Arc-V is a theatre kid who travels the worlds spreading cheer and smiles with his circus performances. What Arc-V is about is child soldiers, and indoctrination into the military industrial complex, and the emotional dissonance that forms between events of trauma and day-to-day survival. One of the characters is inexplicably a traditional japanese shinobi.
The premise for VRAINS is a depressed highschooler cybercrime-ing his way through the internet so he can find answers to why he was kidnapped and tortured when he was 8. What VRAINS is about is the future of corporate greed, about healing, about what makes a consciousness, and the poisoning power of hate. A solid 50% of the story is just really good goofs on modern internet culture.
But if you just throw on a random episode of any one of those, the actual construction of any given one are going to be pretty much the same: It's all Card Games babeeeey

I had a lot of different ideas for what to name this one. Something about cousins or pizza, but in the end I decided to name it after Senor Hueso’s place, Run of the Mill, since that’s where a lot of things in this AU converge.
Leo & Mikey are together in this one, both sons of Senor Hueso. They both work at Hueso's restaurant as waitstaff and can get really competitive with one-upping each other. Excellent customer service, but they need some ground rules and a referee to keep things from getting out of hand. They have a tally on a whiteboard in the kitchen and frustratingly have been evenly matched for months. Hueso wishes they would take this energy somewhere other than his restaurant sometimes. He is very glad to see that aside from their competitiveness, the brothers are very close.
Raph grew up with Sunita's family. After being lost in the lab explosion, he ended up being brought to a yokai orphanage. He and Sunita went to the same playgrounds as kids and became best friends and eventually Sunita's family adopted him. He had an average yokai childhood in the Hidden City, went to school, learned about Googlyschmootz culture, got a part-time job at a small grocer to save up for his own cloaking brooch. Sunita is his best friend and biggest supporter, and when she goes up to the surface and befriends April he has to admit he's a little jealous.
Meanwhile, Donnie is raised by Capitan Piel, and that's where the cousins part comes in. He is distantly aware that he has an uncle and that uncle has children, but knows that this uncle and his dad are estranged. Capitan Piel has told Donnie a lot of stories of their younger days and that he wants to make up with his brother one of these days. Donnie doesn't understand why. His role on the ship is mostly to help keep things running, he's good with his hands and he doesn't get to do any actual pirating stuff until he's older. He ends up being one of the few on the crew with a covert enough reputation that he can wander the Hidden City unnoticed by the police, so he's one of the ones that runs errands and gets supplies, along with some trinkets and parts he doesn't exactly pay for.
Mikey & Leo & Raph all met when they were younger, the first time Raph visited Exploding Frankie at work with Sunita. Donnie & Raph would meet after Raph gets his job at the grocer, when Donnie's out on errands and dips into the store to slip past a street patrol. Donnie & Leo & Mikey would probably meet after Donnie seeks out Run of the Mill for something unrelated to them and get sidetracked with the discovery of even more turtles.
