Julyyyyy Julyyyyy
Take your ass home (Sung to the tune of Lizzoβs βJeromeβ)
Iβm so glad this month is over. The time felt like it passed so quickly and yet 4th of July feels so so far away now.
Started this month not being able to eat for a week.Β My skinβs been better which means deeper sleep, which also unfortunately means the most nightmares Iβve had in a years. A couple weeks of 12hour work days. And hours driving up and down the Bay Area.
Not to say this month was total trash. I saw some of the best theatre the Bay Area has to offer. New Job with this years Regional Theatre Tony Award winner. Reunions with friends from all different aspects of my life. New friends made.
This whole month has been so exhausting and draining, and yet Iβve been filled with this restlessness. Iβve made so many new connections this month career-wise, but at the end of most days, I canβt help thinking about just packing it all up and starting new somewhere else. I look at plane tickets and think about dropping my shows and commitments.Β
On the last day I got a call from my two favorite New Yorkers who now work together <3 They ask me why I havenβt come over yet. Beg me to come suffer with them, which sounds like an absolute dream. But these new connections that I was so thrilled to make, now feel a bit like chains.
I started this month with pms(or ptsd, whoβs to say) putting me in the worst possible mindset, filled the month with mounds of work and theatre and very little time to my thoughts, and then of course during the last hour of the month. I get a a text. From you.
I did have a lot of great experiences this month, but I cannot be happier to say so long. Farewell. Auf wiedersehen. Fuck off
