The beginnings of new works on paper.

Happy Monday. I'm excited to give these Vasari colors a try. I had a great time in their show room over the weekend. Gail was very helpful in answering my questions and showing me not just the colors, but how the colors mix with each other. That's why I ended up with some of their grey colors. I spent well over an hour with her mixing and taking about art and pigments. If you use oils and look for special colors go check this out. #vasarioilcolors

Had an idea about starting some acrylic works on paper. Simple and direct paintings. Looking forward to seeing what develops. I'm going to make them as companion pieces to the oil paintings that are much more labor intensive.

I made an emergency run up to Providence this morning to grab some more paint. This time to Blick because they carry Williamsburg Oil Paint. I also grabbed a couple of tubes of Gamblin. Having not really used their paint much in the past, I figured I would give them a shot. #williamsburgoils #gamblin
