Friendship before relationship. Of course, there’s benefits to it. You know that person more because you have background already. You guys have hung out, got to know each other, have mutual friends, know what you hate and love about that person already. It will make the relationship stronger because you guys started out as friends. You’ve spent a while with each other being just friends. With that being said, it can really hurt being friends first. Why? If that shit doesn’t work out for you, you feel like a part of your life has been ripped out. Someone that you love becomes someone that you used to know. No matter what you do, becoming just friends again will be one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do in your life. It may not even happen again. That’s why it’s really hard for people to risk the friendship for love. You could win big time, but if you lose, you lose someone very important to you, and nobody wants that.
