He gave another curt nod and returned to his meal. For the moment, that was all he cared about. Anything beyond the meat in front of him was meaningless.
When he finished, he moved to a nearby river to clean himself off before making his way into town.
It took him a few moments to find the correct bar, but he managed and stepped inside.
Upon seeing Kaden, he settled next to the other man. "What would you like me to do?"
Kaden greeted Hwan with a nod when the wendigo found him. He was only on his second whiskey, soon to be third as he swallowed the last sip and waved down the bartender for another and whatever Hwan wanted. One more drink and he'd be done; he could still function well enough to work after three. "I'll need help with patrol, we'll split up the town together," he said. "First, get whatever you like on me, if anythin'."
