change of plans bad bitches. i can’t be assed to move, so over the next little while i’ll be softblocking a bunch of people that i don’t write with nor have plotted with. while i love the support, it’s a little overwhelming. if we have a thread, for now, consider it dropped. i have some threads i really don’t want to drop, but i don’t know when i’m going to get to them, so i’d rather not leave anyone with expectations ashfjkas but who knows in like a month maybe i’ll reply to it, surprise <3

somewhat urgent question, but if i do like, $10 carrd commissions would anyone be interested? not to be annoying on main flsjdf but we’re hella short on rent this month and it’s already late as it is, but if i can maybe do like…. idk, 10-15 commissions that’d put at least a good dent in things? i don’t like asking for payment up front but that’s probably the best way to go since we need it in the next few days, and i’d do everything on a first come, first serve basis hopefully by the end of the month (maybe a little later but we’ll see). just im me for details i guess, i’ll honestly do whatever you need and can put in / format info for you too!

PROMPT ONE RESULT: SEARCH THE LIBRARY FOR ANSWERS
The masses gather in the library, led by candle lit lanterns and their best efforts at seeing through the blanket of darkness. Shapeless bodies press against one another as hands illuminated by the small pockets of light scramble to grasp at anything remotely useful. The resourceful have had little difficulty in the dark days, but the lesser have seen better days. Regardless of how they’ve fared, everyone is looking for answers. A hush falls over the shouts when a voice announces they’ve found something.
Stumbling in the dark, they gather around an oak table where a hefty book sits open. The book details the balance of the world and the elements that make it so. It goes on to describe the consequences that would befall the people of Zemlya if the balance was disturbed. An ancient prophecy had predicted that the greed of men would plunge the world into darkness, and that would only be the first of the many horrors to follow until balance is restored.
The voice reading the passage stops mid sentence, head suddenly whipping upwards. “Did you hear that?” Confused questions rise in answer until hushed loudly. The crowd stands in a chilling silence in the library until ears begin to pick up low moans. The shelves of the library creek and wail. Out of the corner of their eyes a glowing figure slithers across the floor, but is quickly forgotten when they turn their attention back to the haunting figure before them. Their heart drops to the pit of their stomach, and the colour drains from their face.

taking into consideration that ravka burns their dead I think genya keeps David’s ashes but not in an urn or anything, she keeps them on her person. similar to lockets people get made for ashes, she has a fabrikator, likely leoni, embed them into the ring that is made of her amplifier. it’s meant to symbolize that the greatest force that amplified both her abilities and herself had been David

animal. a white dove perched still in a gilded cage, a slender cat slinking about the grounds with burning golden eyes. color(s). the faded colour of old gold passed down over the generations, a pristine porcelain white, a deep velvet red. month. april. song. young and beautiful by lana del rey. number. five. day or night. day, but in particular just before sunrise when the world is slowly coming to a wake. plant. i associate genya specifically with pressed flowers, but either way, red roses, white azaleas, forget me nots. smell. a sharp floral scent, a warm and welcoming faint smell of citrus, and unexplainable smell that reminds you of home: a mix of baked goods and spices that only briefly linger. gemstone. garnet. season. spring, when the rain is fresh and the sun is warm. place. in the quiet by the lake after the triumvirate have wrapped up a day of training, sitting at the corner of david's work station to absentmindedly listen to the whir of machinery, perched a top the palace kitchen counter listening to the daily drawl and gossip of the servants and chefs. food. any sweet and pastry that she can get her hands on. astrological sign. libra. element. water. but when i picture it, i'm thinking less bodies of water and rather smaller bits of water like water vapour, droplets after condensation, rain, etc. drink. rosé.

According to her tracking, it had neared midday, but looking out the window for a desperate glimpse of the afternoon sunlight would be a lost cause. For some time she stares at the glass, unable to turn her gaze away, as her pulse beat rapidly against her chest. Instinctively, her hand reaches out to curl around one of David’s, anchoring herself back to THE NIGHTMARE-ISH REALITY he was so blissfully unaware of. ❝ David, love, ❞ Her words come in an airy but fatigued sigh as she rests her head against his shoulder. ❝ Not that I think you have an acute interest in candles, but have you noticed the height difference of the wax in front of you ? ❞ The fire burns behind golden iris as she looks up at him inquisitively. A careful hand reached out to indicate where the candle had started. ❝ Humour me, if you will. How long do you reckon it takes for the wax to melt this low from here ? ❞

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭, to say the least. Both Little and Grand Palace had grown exceptionally rowdy as if to combat the chilling stillness of the darkness that had engulfed all of Ravka, and as far as the eye could see. It was no surprise when Grisha children and adults alike found themselves clambering into the infirmary. Injuries ranging from fights to burns, it’s HARD TO MAKE IT OUT even when she squints in the flickering light of the candles lining the walls. ❝ Are you doing okay ? ❞ She rests a gentle hand on Ella’s shoulder, hoping she can see the small smile on her lips. She worries for the healers and the influx of patients in such a short period of time. ❝ Of all the things we’ve seen in Ravka, this really is madness, isn’t it ? ❞
