🦇 ݁ ˖ִ ࣪ ways to combat feeding based dysphoria for vamps
✯ Pomegranate juice. I find this one to be the most effective, at least in my case. Pomegranate juice is a dark red, and can stain pretty easy (be careful on white surfaces), which helps a lot with visuals. Somewhat tart, sweet, & relatively thin. Probably my favorite to consume from the fruit itself, as it pops when you bite it. ✯ Cranberry juice. Very similar to pomegranate, however much more tart & dry. Still just as thin, a close alt to pomegranate though less sweet if you prefer. Also dark red in color. I personally don't like cranberries…but I assume they have a texture like tiny cherries. ✯ Cherry jello (while liquid). This ones a bit silly, but it's worked a few times for me. Before refrigerating to harden the jello, the mixture will be watery and warm. Unless you plan to heat up your juices, this one comes a bit more naturally due to the boiling water in the recipe. Incredibly sweet, so I advise not to drink more than barely a cup at a time. It's also a very bright red, so the visuals are a bit weak. Not the best, but works for a temperature imitation. ✯ Hibiscus tea. This one's the much less silly version of the jello. Can be served warm, is dark red in color, and has a similar taste to cranberry juice. It's also, like most herbal teas, pretty beneficial to your health. Highly recommend (but then again I am a tea freak so…) ✯ Certain alcoholic beverages. Prefacing this by saying I am not yet 21 & have never had a lick of alcohol in my life, however I know that there are some fruity red drinks that are much thicker than non-alcoholic ones. These could potentially provide both visuals and texture. ✯ Medium rare/rare beef. Less of a drinking aspect, but rarer meats are much softer and tend to bleed. If cooked well, it can be very tender and warm. These can also simulate biting. One of my absolute favorites when craving. ✯ Edible fake blood. There's a lot of different recipes for this all across the internet, most intended for baked goods. Dark food colorings help with visuals and, with most recipes requiring corn syrup, creates a thick texture. Consume this in small portions however, as it was only designed for such and could make you feel sick.
⚠︎ While certain quantities of animal blood is somewhat safe, please don't take the risk. Blood is incredibly vunerable to diseases, and could very easily carry over illnesses to you. Your current body is human and it won't take too kindly to trying to process it.
