The last actual chapter of Shifted Story was posted on October 24th, 2024, and almost two years later we still don't have the next chapter! We've been struggling on how to continue the story for a variety of reasons, not knowing how or where the characters should go next due to loose outlining and general messiness, too busy irl with work and school, inconsistent quality between the chapters, plot holes, etc.

So we've decided to rework the story mostly from the ground up.

The general premise and what characters are involved are still going to remain almost entirely the same!! You don't have to worry about that!

The main differences will be like some of the story beats, character motivations, etc.

We're going to be brainstorming together a more solid story and flow that better envisions what we wanted for Emo Treat and Shifted Story to be about, so hopefully we'll be able to release more consistent and enjoyable chapters for all of you to read.

'Shifted Story' if you couldn't tell is a placeholder name we've been using since the au was created. So, with this rework, we'll be changing the name soon to something more fitting and some cover art to go along with it.

I love drawing, helping write, and thinking about emo treat so much, so I want to do her justice. Hopefully more can come from the series with any other projects either I or @blobsicle decide to do, with you there to experience it and share our excitement.
