there are very very very very very valid criticisms of the mental health system and it’s entirely understandable to be wary and inform others of the damage that it has caused you, but i do die a bit inside every time i see a comment pass me by that’s like “therapists and psychiatrists are all inherently bad people who want the worst for you and getting help is the worst choice you could possibly make”

there’s a difference between telling someone “when i tried to get help i was instead put in a situation that hurt me in the long run and this is something you need to keep in mind about the way the psychiatric system operates” versus “dont even try to get help, they’ll only make things worse because none of them actually care about you, you’re completely fucked for all of eternity because nobody will ever try to help you”. cause frankly i think if i saw that latter advice when i was growing up as frequently as i do now i wouldve killed myself

i like that employers and interviewers genuinely believe they deserve to live

also I don't think parents "these days" are uniquely terrible, I just think neglect is showing up in new ways as technology progresses. today's ipad kid would've been wandering around in a ditch alone all day and night before. parents not wanting to have to deal with children is not a new phenomenon.

actually if I can complain for a minute I think it's so rancid when people are like "uuuh what did you expect from the rudeness website lmaooo" or "uwu it's the piss on the poor website you can't expect anyone to actually read what you said" or "this is literallyyy the autism website" like okay??? your personal perception of tumblr dot com doesn't actually mean people can just speak to each other any which way and expect to never receive any pushback for being a rude ass bitch. christ. get some house training.
