Hello everyone! I'm the mod, Kiji, and this is a roleplay/ask blog for Korekiyo Shinguji! Before we start...
!DISCLAIMER!
Do not send any (very gory) hate to 'sister'! I've seen a lot of people have violent fantasies and it's honestly concerning. Both Korekiyo and Miyadera are not good people and bad for eachother in this 'AU'.
Normal hate is allowed, just please don't describe anything gory, thank you!
Thorough list of rules can be found here, please read them.
- About the mod/owner of the blog !
You can call me Kiji or just admin/mod!
Any pronouns, mainly he/him.
My intro is also on the @kijimha blog.
My knowledge on Danganronpa may be a little rusty; feel free to correct any mistakes I make!
Danganronpa covers some pretty dark topics, and in Korekiyo's case, mentions incest. Please be wary when scrolling through the blog.
Other RP/Ask blogs can be found in my intros! (@casinoownersigma/@kijimha)

(//uhhhh uta and kiyo are good friends..and i ship them but i wanna talk to you before i do anything !)
'kiyoooo-kuuuuun~'
the dollmaker's voice comes as a coo behind kiyo, before a small pair of arms came behind him. the dollmaker squeezed him from behind is a surprise sort of hug.
'boo~!'
their voice came in a joyful chime as they rested their head against his back.
There's a jolt that wracks Korekiyo's lithe frame, even as the dollmaker's voice served as a warning for the hug to come. Despite that, he's nowhere near upset; he seems more amused than anything, letting out a quiet sigh that puffs his mask slightly. His head turns to the side to let the other come into his peripheral vision, watching them out of the corner of his eye. Curiosity glimmers in the yellow of his irises.
"I see you're in a particularly good mood today," He muses, eyebrows raising slightly. "You scared me."
It's a clear lieāKorekiyo had seen enough "scary things" during his work, enough for his fight-or-flight response to have effectively been made uselessābut it's clearly meant to be a playful jab rather than a real truth. He returns the hug the best he can, his bony fingers coming to rest on their arms.
the dollmaker giggled, the sound melodic as they rested their head against their friends chest.
' aww..i'm not scary at all.. '
despite their slight whine, it wasn't like they were actually offended.
they snuggled into his chest for a few seconds, letting out a hum of delight. it wasn't often they got affection from their friends and they'd certainly savour every opportunity when they got it.
Korekiyo arches a brow at that, but he doesn't say anything as to not ruin this delicate moment. He'd seen enough touch-starved people to recognize the little traits they hadāhow their grip was a little too tight sometimes, how they basked in every hug as if it was their last. Now, he wasn't saying the dollmaker was exactly "touch-starved", but maybe somewhere close adjacent.
His eyes soften as they nuzzle against his chest, the action briefly reminding him of a cat. The thought made him chuckle quietly to himself. He opts to raise one hand to twirl one of Uta's locs around his finger, coiling and coiling before letting go, watching how it springs back into place.
"What's 'scary' is subjective to most," He finally says, "But I'd argue you're not entering anyone's nightmares any time soon. Kehehe..."
Korekiyo mulled over the words. "There's a quote that says that art should disturb the comforted, and comfort the disturbed."
In other words, he was implying that not everyone would enjoy the kinds of things Uta did. Korekiyo preferred letting people come to these conclusions themselves, so he said nothing more on the matter. In his opinion, Miu's comments didn't matter much to begin with; everything she said was immediately dismissed because of the simple fact that, well, she was Miu. She was far too brash and crude to say anything worth listening to. That ugliness of hers was beautiful, tooāthat's what Korekiyo told himselfābut she didn't make a very good friend. Not for her.
He snapped out of that train of thought, unconsciously smiling a bit wider (despite the fact no one would come to witness it). The dollmaker's joy was infectious. Passively, he wondered what they would do if Miu were to prod a little too hard, insult their passions too much. Would that be enough for them to kill her, to snap her neck and shut her up permanently? He decided to think of these things when he was alone.
"It's a very beautiful doll, I'm sure," Korekiyo conceded, one of his hands coming to pat their shoulder supportively. "I've done plenty research on old dolls who are purportedly haunted, if you'd like to hear about it someday."
hii! your nameās kiyo, correct? i donāt know if weāve met before, but my name is ayate! iām the ultimate ceramist. iāve been meaning to have a conversation with you at some point, because iāve seen you from afar, and you seem pretty cool!

"Ultimate Ceramist... a fascinating profession.
Indeed, my name is Korekiyo Shinguji (but do call me Kiyo, you already seem to be using that nickname either way, kehehehe). I'm the Ultimate Anthropologist.

āI find it quite surprising that Iāve never bothered to talk swords with you. Given youāre the Ultimate Anthropologist, I imagine youāve seen your fair share in your studies. It would be nice to get a different perspective on the subjectā
((( @ultimate-pekoyama )))
"Indeed, I've seen and touched many weapons in my lifetimeāswords being one of my favourites.
One of my favourite swords is the real life Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi. It's a legendary Japanese sword and one of three Imperial Regalia of Japan.
It was originally called Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugiā"Heavenly Sword of Gathering Clouds"ābut its name was later changed to the more popular Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, which simply means "Grass-Cutting Sword". It's said to represent the virtue of valor."
"There are many legends surrounding the sword itself... according to said legend, the god Susanoo-no-Mikoto encountered a grieving family in Izumo Province. When Susanoo asked Ashinazuchi, he told him that his family was being terrorized by the fearsome Yamata no Orochi, an eight-headed serpent, who had consumed seven of the family's eight daughters, and that the creature was coming for his final daughter, Kushinadahime.
Susanoo investigated the creature and, after an encounter, returned with a plan to defeat it. In return, he asked for Kushinada-hime's hand in marriage, which was agreed to. He transformed her temporarily into a comb (yes, rather silly to hear) to have her company during battle, and he detailed his plan into steps. Susanoo attacked the beast, chopping each head and tail.
In the fourth tail, he discovered a great sword inside the body of the serpent, which he called "Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi". Apparently, he presented the sword to his sister, Amaterasu, to settle an old grievance.
Fascinating story, is it not? There are many swords with interesting stories just like this one."
Hello there Korekiyo! I was reading a bit about how different cultures throughout history used music for rituals and storytelling, and it instantly made me think of you! As the Ultimate Anthropologist, you must know so many incredible stories about that. Iād love to hear about the kind of traditional music you've encountered on your travels! Maybe I could even try adapting a folklore melody onto the piano for you sometime!
"Interestingly enough, I was just reading up on Shamanic music. It's ritualistic music used in religious and spiritual ceremonies associated with the practice of shamanism. It mostly emphasizes voice and rhythm.
In shamanism, the shaman has a more active musical role than the medium in spirit possession. The shaman actively enters the spirit world, negotiates with their helper spirit and then with other spirits as necessary, and moves between different territories of the spirit world. Possession music is typically longer in duration, mesmeric, loud, and intense.
The music itself is played not by the medium, but by one or more musicians. Fascinating, is it not?"
"Fascinating is an understatement! Thank you so much for the insight, Kiyo!
A musical style where the rhythm and voice have to be powerful enough to guide someone through different territories of the spirit world...? I can't even imagine how much raw energy that takes! When you describe possession music as 'mesmeric, loud, and intense,' it really makes me think of how some heavy classical pieces try to completely overwhelm the listener.
Trying to capture a melody that is meant to be hypnotizing and texturally complex on a solo piano sounds like a massive challenge, but it makes me want to try it even more! I'd love to read more about the specific rhythmic patterns they use. Thank you so much for sharing that with me, human culture is beautiful! Next time I find a good arrangement, you'll have to let me know if it captures the right atmosphere!"
"Your enthusiasm greatly pleases me... kehehehe. Of course, if you would like to know more, I will happily share my research with you. I am always eager to hear your input.
As for your offer... I would be happy to. It will certainly be a difficult task, but I'm sure your efforts will prevail nonetheless."
"Your faith in my piano skills literally gives me so much determination!
A difficult task is exactly the kind of challenge an Ultimate Pianist lives for! Shamanic rhythms and mesmeric, intense atmospheres... oh man, I can already feel my fingers itching to start sketching out some chords on my sheet music! But hey, did you want to come over to the music room and listen to me practice?
You could bring some more of your research documents and travel notes with you! Iād love to read through more of your findings while I test out different melodies on the keys and you can tell me if the chords I'm improvising are hitting the right atmosphere! What do you say?"
"A splendid idea! We might be able to create something truly beautiful... chords of music, born from the passion of a pianist and the love of an anthropologist... I can already feel us getting closer!"
"I will happily take your offer; we can both learn a lot from each other this way. Perhaps we will gain a better understanding of each other in the process as well. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you."
