Another cracking painter for our Kop & Hibbert X @ironlak event at @artwavesfest is @sphere3_som He has been doing graffiti for around 20 years now going by the allies Sphere3/Sfere3 as well as the crew S.O.M. He has always wanted to push the boundaries of what is possible using various materials involving several disciplines to achieve his vision. More recently his focus has been on painting murals and graffiti mostly around the north of England were he's am based. All Sphere3's works are concerned with capturing a dynamic flow within the experimental abstraction of letterforms, natural, architectural and human forms. He feels that through experimenting with all dimensions of art be it sculpture, installation, painting murals, graffiti - he can further understand the world around him and gain a greater knowledge of how things work visually, whilst also giving him the greatest sense of freedom of expression in being able to adapt and switch between disciplines. Influences including Cubism, constructivism, futurism surrealism and many more but with a constant inspiration of re-occurring patterns within nature and how man mimics this through art and design. Next up at the Kop & Hibbert x @ironlak event at @artwavesfest is SKEG SKEG - Meaning to ‘take a look’ in the flatlands of Yorkshire. A member of the TSB Club. Manipulating theraputic aesthetics to create dreamscapes and alternate utopias. His work naturally creates paraodies and loose narratives, abstract meets graphic with merging styles of graffiti background. Skeg's work is ephemeral, nothing lasts forever! The Kop & Hibbert X @ironlak event at ArtWaves Festival is bringing you @will.whittington_ Will initially found creative interest through an introduction to graffiti by a school friend at 13. Since then he followed his curiosity and spent four years studying and working in Southampton, until recently moving to London to further his work in the creative industry. Another banger for Kop & Hibbert X @ironlak event at ArtWaves Festival is @auld_english_ Eco spent his formative years in the infamous late 80's Hull Graffiti scene, relocating to Bristol in the 90's and leaving his inimitable mark upon the city. As his focus has broadened to encompass commissions from the worlds of fashion and music, Eco has worked continuously and notably with EH? and Lex Records, for artists such as Dangermouse and MFDOOM. First up at the Kop & Hibbert paint jam at @artwavesfest is @replete_art For the last two decades Replete has been sprinkling pigment, pushing pixels and tweaking speakers.
