This isn't a question but more of a confession i desperately need to say, for as long as I've been reading fanfics i used to think "gn reader" meant goodnight and that the fanfic was about going to sleep and not gender neutral. I found this out half a year ago

i only realised that f!reader // m!reader // gn!reader were indicating gender when i started seeing the tags amab/afab!reader and was so fucking confused (bc what the FREAK did these alphabets stand for) i had to look it up π somebodys gotta make a beginners guide to reading fanfiction istg because as ROTTEN as my mind was since i was a middle schooler, i could not for the love of god figure out what the tags meant at ALL.
