so im currently writing a fic that takes place during y3 and i cannot for the life of me figure out how long daigo was in that coma for😭😭 i want to say a week minimum maybe a couple weeks??

Day 0: Nakahara and Daigo get shot late in the evening/at night, Kiryu tells Rikiya they're going to Tokyo the next day. (he says to the kid he'll be away for about a week)

Day 1: Kiryu goes to Kamurocho, meets with Kashiwagi, stumble on Date, then takes Rikiya to fight Kanda.

Day 2: Kiryu learns that Majima is linked to the resort deal, he fights him, Rikiya is taken hostage by Lau Ka Long during the evening, Kiryu fights him. Meanwhile Kanda meets with Mine then gets killed.

Day 3: Mine meets with Kiryu, Kiryu and Date meet up with Tamiya, then flies back to Okinawa at Tamiya's request, then spend some time with the kids. Mine flies to Okinawa to meet up with Tamashiro.

Day 4: Kiryu spends more time with the kids, he fights Joji in the afternoon/evening while Mine and Tamashiro destroy the orphanage, Mine flies back to Tokyo, Kiryu fights Tamashiro then flies back to Tokyo. He drops Haruka of to Serena then go meet Mine at Touto Hospital.

I'd say stretching the timeline to a week wouldn't mess up the urgency of the situation too much imo especially from Kiryu's pov. But from Mine's perspective, the 4 day time frame doesn't feel too much of a stretch based on what a few characters say:

There's a random yakuza you can talk to after meeting Mine that notes that he "hasn't seen much of Mine recently" more than probably because he has to deal with the situation.

Katase notes that Mine hasn't been taking care of himself "lately".

During his introduction, Mine has Katase cancel a conference he's supposed to have during the evening of Day 1.
