sometimes being a lesbian literally feels like you have they live sunglasses on because in the media there is a constant palpable sense of transience to any kind of close relationship between women. platonic or familial or anything else. it's there to varying degrees but it's just omnipresent. when all the main characters are women and the story is about them there's still always some random guy looming on the horizon. women are kind of allowed to be more openly affectionate with each other than men are but not by much and that's coupled with an understanding that eventually a man will come in and take The important role in their lives. a guy with 10 seconds of screentime implicitly determines the female protagonist's future. the male lead gets a nameless wife who exists entirely in the epilogue while the female lead gets to have an experience to reminisce about with her husband and children. like aren't you exhausted

Genuinely I love helping my friends so much. One of my buds called me and asked for a ride and was apologizing so profusely bc it was so last minute and they said they could pay me back and all that and I just got to be like "no worries I got u covered :D". Being able to just erase stress like that makes me the happiest person in the world
