hey so you're a precure fan right
are the seven colored flowers like. super sentai or are they also cure adjacent
Sorry, but I'm not a Precure fan — I watched one of the animes when I was 13 I think, and I really enjoyed it but I haven't watched anything else yet (keyword: yet), so sadly I cannot answer your question.
But you know who's a Precure fan—
Heyyy @koeniginderskizzen , you may want to answer this ask lol
OwO I was summoned
And uhh,
hmmm, I know next to nothing about Super Sentai sadly.
When it comes to precure then I'd say they're more of a villain team, because the cures rarely all know each other before the series starts, while the villains usually do and can have banter with each other, and they can be rather silly at times, plus plenty of villains got redemption arcs in their series, and we also kinda befriend the flowers too.
But now I kinda wanna think about their colours, powers, and personalities, and if they are compatible to Precure.
What I find funny is that Precure is generally hesitant to have green coloured cures that aren't mint coloured or turquoise, while leaning heavily into Blue, which is actually the case with Aqua's Japanese name as well, since she's called Turquoisey but is actually cyan. In regards to her powers, I'd say that's pretty deltarune themed. Precure have swords here and there, but usually their powers are elemental, which isn't that much the case with the flowers except for generally having flower power.
Then with Orange, we only had 2 Orange cures so far, and those two are the rather tomboyish Cure Sunny who also likes sports and works at a restaurant and the feminine for a boy Cure wing who was also laughed at for his dreams because he wanted to achieve something he wasn't born to do. So in that way they're a fit, but diverge in Orange being very childish.
With Green I don't have much to compare but what I find interesting is that the way the colour green was used on them did actually remind me of the way the green-green cures were coloured. Also there are a bunch of Precure that are connected to food in some way that stood out more, but I don't think any of them were actually green.
Blue I find rather fitting, because I think a lot of blue Cures were rather elegant and mature, so that's a fit here too. Plus Cure Mermaid was actually good at ballet, so there is that.
Yellow I think also fits personality wise because from what I know, Yellow cures can be a bit extra, so to say. Like they can have a happy, or youthful energy to them.
Purple probably also fits, because at least in the past, Purple cures tended to be more mysterious and mature, and while that's not exactly Seth's personality, they at least wanna be that. Nowadays Purple cures are a bit more varied. Also there were a couple of cures who's stories revolved around writing stories themselves.
I don't think I need to talk about pink, because she's literally a magical girl, and Hatsune Miku's VA even voiced the cat Precure Cure Macaron.
Lastly flowery, who is goldenof which we have, I think, 2 precures, which are both debatable. Flowery fits one of the two in being a transgender allegory, or something.
To wrap it up, you surely can make a case for Precure also fighting with the power of friendship to some extend, though I find it that usually Precure get their strength through the thing they want to protect.
Other than that, I think having dreams you want to achieve had been a pretty big theme in multiple Precure seasons.
I think that's everything I have to say about this.
Actually no,
Even though I haven't played it, I think if you wanna look for something to compare the flowers to I think maybe looking at Touhou would be a better thing to go with
