I was so excited about drawing Blue but I was a bit worried because everyone draws him so pretty and majestic and I was scared I wouldn't do him justice, buuut I think I did a good job! I think he looks very pretty and I had a lot of fun adding all the little butterfly motives! And I also think that the golden accents work pretty well with the blue!

And Yellow is there.

Plus the added tragedy of Noelle yearning for change, and the interpretation that because they are their mother's last daughter, and they feel like they can't take that away from her ect.

There was so much unchecked racism and bigotry going on in peoples’ fanseries, anyone who said “Hey this isn’t cool” was vilified, people used “You should be able to write whatever you want!” as an excuse to put some vile shit in their work, they just kept feeding into each other until everyone who tried to say something was chased out. Anyone who has a Cure with darker skin, or a heavier build, or a disability got called “an SJW” and harassed. And some of the “fandom darlings” from that period? Were nasty.

There was a fanseries where the running gag was “lol the black character is smelly and dirty all the time but her skin is so dark she can’t see it.” And people who said that was gross got harassed. Another one had an anti-Islamic speech out of nowhere, and the main villain was an overweight woman who constantly had her weight called attention to. They had a copaganda chapter within weeks of a notorious hate crime, which was still in the news at the time, and said “We need to hear both sides of the story.”

EVERYBODY knows (or should) that you DO. NOT. STOP. in Vidor, Texas. 

It’s best to just run out of gas elsewhere. Whatever you do, black folks, DO NOT STOP IN VIDOR, TEXAS. 

There’s a good chance you’ll get lynched or just come up missing - and I’m not joking.
