Koegama is my worldbuilding project, that also feeds into my ARPG project. This blog is mostly about the former, so anatomy, culture, world history and biology will be what you see most. My main art blog is @frogcroaks!

The current main three sophonts are the hanasei, luminae and tajira:

Koegama itself is a very tropical world — with most of its biomes and temperature being similar to equatorial regions on earth. It does not experience seasons, and is very humid and wet. Based heavily on brazil, less so on japan.

And 4- ask for clarification on the whole breeding and reproduction process, not gonna lie, I found it mildly confusing and was wondering if you could possibly dumb it down for me?

1. absolutely in love with your little guy

2. all colors on hanasei are allowed, but these seem like they could be a natural morph of the Guachi ethnicity, which have yellow-green to teal green colors and markings tend to be their crests (faciL markings) and some on the extremities of the body. yours would be a crestless morph

3. I'm reworking their naming conventions a little bit, but if you want just one name and are looking for sounds: many languages favor vowels in names, especially A, I and U — Baamun, Ipatupa, etc. They enjoy using onomatopoeia in their names, and are just as likely to use "meaningless" made up words as names as they are "real" names. Tones can be included similar to how one does when writing out chinese (e.g: zhōng huá rén mín gòng hé guó).

You got some Lem tubes!

Cartilaginous tubes filled with white meat — which comes from specific crustacean specimen. Most come in packages of 20, and some hanasei can chow down on an entire pack if left unsupervised.

You got soteretere!

Looks similar to ice cream, but is a bit more solid like jello. Made with crop milk from different domestic waterfowl, it is a very fancy treat due to the difficulty of production. Hanasei don't have spoons, rather using tongs to hold a scoop.

You got some mnarèlon (plural form of mnaro)!

Hard candy shells served in a kebab-style spear, infused with a creamy filling. They come with a blood boiler holding, well, boiled blood. You must pour the blood to soften the shells and let its flavors mix with the cream, otherwise the real taste of the candy will not come to.

Green is the most common color this candy comes from, as it is the natural pigment of the ingredients of the shell, but blue, yellow, pink and white colorations are also common. Shapes are up to the chef, some try to be cute and make them animal shaped.

You got a Neinei-bom!

A pastry that is similar to croquettes, made out of fish guts and "sweetener" algae. In truth, if you had the tastebuds adapted to eat koegama food, you would not find this sweet at all, with an umami to bitter range instead. Hanasei find this delightfully sweet, though — most likely due to their specified tastebuds.

Two hanasei wrestling — a common activity done during breeding months. There are many ways to win a wrestling match, such as holding down an opponent immobile for 30 seconds, knocking them out of the designated fighting area, or have the audience assign a loser — the latter is only done if a hanasei refuses to accept a loss, but their fighting quality already declined.

I do need to figure out how to format it though... hanasei and the other sophonts of this world have various cultures and ethnicities just like humans, not a singular one. But at the same time I don't know if I can have every part separated and granular... alas!
