Well since this was awhile ago, I hope you were safe and that you made the right decision with a good guy.

I will still answer this regardless just in case...

So it’s hard to say when my first time was honestly. I was 18, closeted, “Christian kid”, and obviously lived with my parents. I was lost and confused, from 18-19, I mean I went to bible college for some reason. It’s tough to say when or with who. All I know is I did love them and I knew they cared about me.

That kinda ties in to what I’d give as advice...

You don’t have to love them or be in love. I mean cool if you are or aren’t. Sex is a beautiful thing and I don’t believe love has to always be a part of it. Sometimes being primal is fun. For your first time though, just make sure it’s at least with someone you trust. Someone who you know at least will be safe, is safe, and can take care of you properly during it/after sex. For me although it is a blur when my exact “first” was, I know it was emotional for me. It solidified me as, “Well that settles it, I’ve got the full blown gay”. With where I was with life and family, it wrecked me, but was a freeing experience. So having the few people in my life at that time, without them, I would never have made it out of that experience ok.

So most people close to us already know this, but Matthew and I are officially boyfriends now too! Still dating Ryan (soon to be more than dating ❤️) and of course, David.

Our whole relationship dynamic is different because David and I are together, but David is not dating Ryan or Matthew. Ryan and Matthew are together as well as dating me. Then Ryan is together with Michael, yet Michael is not with anyone else but Ryan.

If you followed that, awesome! It’s a whole confusing, beautiful, poly, hodgepodge of a thing. It’s different and it’s ours 🤷‍♀️.

The main point is...poly relationships aren’t always just a triad or quad. There aren’t any rules on relationships in general that we all have to live by. You make them up as you go with your partner or partners. You figure out that shit together. Other people’s relationships or rules do not define yours or make either more legitament than the other.
