As an avid snape enjoyer I personally do NOT see a problem with him being black/inaccurate to the books because #1: we already race bend in the fandom idk why it’s such a big deal when it happened to snape. I didn’t even imagine the possibility but I really enjoy BBCs adaptation IN FACT I think this opens up a lot of new possibilities for the characters because it just made me realize how LITTLE we were head-canoning already and #2: THERE ARE SO MANY INACCURATE THINGS ALREADY IN THE OLD MOVIES and NOBODY CARED until Snape. Idk this is JUST my opinion but I think I’m just really HP starved and I feel like a dog being given a bone after SOOO LONG. I don’t mean to offend anyone in this post but it just feels so weird to see lots of people be vaguely racist to the actor online 😭😭😭 Fanart of black snape soon I hope 🥹✌️
