    but he senses something else , concern bubbling from within the pit of his stomach as he turns slowly to meet a familiar gaze ---- his own . he’s swift , feet dancing in rhythmic steps as he positions himself behind his trusty scythe . gloved fingers coming to grip the mower’s handle bars , heels at the ready to give the device a kick starter just as a crucial thought registers . or more so a memory that reminds him that he’d taken a liking to perching at the same spot hours before , and he knows the other isn’t an imposter , oh no ! but his past self .
