To clarify something, in some Genloss theories I refer to c!Ranboo and cc!Ranboo. These stand for “Character” and “Content Creator”. C!Ranboo is the character in the story, and cc!Ranboo is the real life person.

This time I did notice it lol.

So the Eel’s skin looks kinda human-like yeah? Makes sense, it’s kinda made of humans. So logically its skin would be made of similar stuff right?

Both of these are official art/renders of the Eel so this is fully canonically what it looks like.

But the detail I noticed is that it can’t have human like skin. Because the camera can’t see through it.

In the hangar, Simon takes a picture and irradiates the three people in there. The picture shows their skeletons clearly:

But later it can take pictures of the Eel and it doesn’t show its skeleton:

I don’t necessarily know what this means, but it’s interesting to note that it’s clearly not the same material as the humans it absorbed.

Other details I noticed:

Technically more of a Bloodymary detail but whatever.

So, by “I”, I actually mean my brother in this case, but he gave me explicit permission to post the discovery here so here we go.

So, we’ve all seen all the ways Ava (Iron Lung) and Eva Stratt (Project Hail Mary) are compared and contrasted. But there’s a really interesting detail about one way they differ explicitly that shows a lot about who they are.

The first sentences they say.

A plot point in Iron Lung is that Ava never knew Simon’s name. She “sent him down to die” and didn’t even know his name. Versus the first couple sentences Stratt says when she first appears in the movie? She addresses Grace by name.

The first phrases we hear from Ava are this:

“Beginning the descent.

Mission clock started, exploration of AT-5 underway.

How’s it looking down there, Convict?”

She calls Simon “Convict”.

The first phrases we hear from Stratt are this (cutting out Grace’s responses):

“Knock knock.

Not good at jokes.

Dr. Grace. Eva Stratt, I’m with the Petrova Task Force, I need your help.”

Not only does she call him by name, she introduces herself.

Just a cool detail that really shows how the two characters are fundamentally different in how they approach and think of others.

So I’m gonna watch it with my little bro but he has a bit more sensitivity to horror than me so I’m trying to plan out which bits to warn him about. This is what I’ve got so far, can y’all help me remember any other notable trigger moments?
