11. 17 POINTS - The art of rock balancing is said to open up creative pathways in your brain. But potato balancing has been proven to actually provide a shortcut to enlightenment. That's why we found you, in nature (or your backyard), meditating near the balanced potatoes.
9. 23 POINTS - Nail art has reached new levels these days, but it hasn't forayed much into the fine art of nail signage. Let's see a miniature protest poster painted on a fingernail.
3. 24 POINTS - LIVESTREAM. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5, 12:00 PM PT: Escape From 2020 With Travis McElroy, Tanya DePass, Erika Ishii, Rachel Miner, & Tybee Diskin. Recreate Utensio, the Utensil Man from Travis McElroy's virtual puzzle room, entirely out of kitchen utensils.
WHO recreated the famous dinner scene from “Young Frankenstein?” WHO did it to help raise funds to fight world hunger? (And also for, like, @GISH, and stuff, but who’s counting?) 👉🏼 WE DID! 👈🏽 , that’s who! Join us in contributing to World Central Kitchen via our fundraising link!
From their Official GoFundMe/Charity Page:
World Central Kitchen believes that food can be an agent of change. That belief has fueled efforts to feed and empower vulnerable communities in the developing world from Haiti to Zambia. That belief is currently working non-stop in Puerto Rico still in the midst of recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Maria. Arriving just after the storm, World Central Kitchen activated its network of chefs, kitchens, food trucks, and partners to ensure people and communities in need receive quality meals.
To date, they’ve served 3.6 million meals from 25 kitchens with the help of more than 19,000 volunteers—an impossible task without the right organizational structure, focus, and dedication. While their presence may not be permanent, their impact will be. While cooking, they are educating communities about proper food safety and sanitation. They’ve established school kitchens to support feeding programs. And they’ve provided training and job opportunities to elevate the hospitality workforce, increase earnings, and enhance the quality of life of low-income communities.

Nothing But Nets: Help Us Fundraise!
Please join us as we raise funds for @NothingButNets as part of the @GISH #GISH 2020 Scavenger Hunt! Every little bit counts-- donations accepted from $1+! Two nets can be donated for every $10! Click here to donate as part of our team fundraiser!
Nothing But Nets is a project of the United Nations Foundation dedicated fighting malaria, a deadly, yet preventable disease.
Every two minutes, a child dies from malaria, a disease caused by a single mosquito bite. Malaria is preventable and treatable with a life-saving, insecticide-treated bed net and other malaria prevention tools and treatment. Half of the world’s population is at risk of contracting malaria, and refugees, pregnant women, and children are most vulnerable to this disease.
Bed nets are a simple, cost-effective solution to keep families safe from malaria-carrying mosquitoes. Combined with household spraying, malaria testing and treatment, and vaccines in development, we are making progress in the fight to end malaria for good.

GISH 2020 Mini Hunt #2 Fundraiser: Legal Defense & Education Fund/NAACP
Please join the Knights of TARDISia as we help raise funds for the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund. The state of racial affairs in the United States is in turmoil, and the violence against people of color goes beyond unjust-- it is unconscionable. We’re using the GISH Scavenger Hunt platform to raise both awareness and funds to participate in addressing this issue-- because #BlackLivesMatter-- today, tomorrow, every day, every hour.
We invite and encourage you to use our link to join us in making a donation to this worthy, necessary cause.
GISH 2020 Mini-Hunt Completed!

53. Since we can no longer give each other big, warm, cuddly hugs, it's time we invent the official hug or hug routine of social distancing. Props, noises, physical impossibiliites... they are all welcome. Let's see two people warmly "embracing" each other with "the new COVID hug" (obviously from a distance of at least 6 feet).
It was great weather for the new COVID hug in London!
52. Random Acts is raising funds for grassroots COVID relief efforts. (You can donate here, but that's not the purpose of this item') Go here and nominate an organization in your community that is doing good work to receive support. Submit a screenshot of your nomination to us.
The Knights of TARDISia nominate Project Angel Food, in Los Angeles, CA USA.
51. A lot of LGBTQ+ people are sheltering-in-place with people who don't accept them as they are, which makes an already difficult situation even more isolating. Show them that though they are physically isolated right now, they are not alone: post a photo of yourself holding up a sign with a message of support which also includes contact numbers to organizations for support in case they need help. Submit the photo with a link to your social media post tagged #LGBeTogether and #GISH.
50. Make a set of jewelry or a crown from paperclips - one so ostentatious, it would make Queen Elizabeth blush. (You can adorn it with anything you have around the house as "jewels.")
49. I recently wrote a letter of thanks to a guy named Jim, who helped me quite a bit when I was young man, sharing his time and knowledge with me. I posted about it on social media, and we've since reconnected. Write a letter of gratitude to someone in your past who shaped your present for the better or made you who you are in a positive way, then share it with them if you can and post it publicly (if you're comfortable) tagged #LettersOfGratitude. Send us a pic of your letter and a link to your post.

48. Just because we're sheltering-in-place doesn't mean we can't drop in on each other for dinner (virtually). Download the GISH App (Get iOS here or Android here) and use the GEOChat feature to pop in on 5 random strangers in 5 different countries. Find out how they're doing, how sheltering in place is going in their country, and get the recipe of their favorite quarantine comfort food, then submit them to all us as a page for our #QuarantineCookbook. Make sure you let us know which country each recipe came from!
47. Rachel Miner brings all the unicorns to the yard. Let's see the largest gathering of unicorns watching her panel! Take a photo of yourself, dressed as a unicorn (homemade costume is perfect if you don't have a unicorn costume in your closet for some strange reason), watching her #FestivalAndBeyond Livestream to benefit Random Acts' COVID Relief efforts. Bonus points: make a donation to Random Acts to help support COVID relief, and share the two photos side-by-side.
