#vday #remix this is the last thing i'll say about it (for now, lol) - since i've been speaking about remixing VDay and the subject of ex-beaus all week with the release of my single "Bravo To You" today. but here's the thing. so many folks have (perhaps unconsciously) allowed THEIR feelings about a past break-up and an Ex or two they "never got over" to literally steal their vitality. and worse, damage how they think about relationships period. you ever notice that those who speak the most negatively about an ex tend to be the most cynical, angry or just flat people. as if they've allowed the break-up narrative to squelch love right out of their life - never to be found again. it makes me so sad for them. don't get it twisted - i have been on the receiving end of some situations that would no doubt tempt you to hate your ex, but i could not conceive of giving any one of them my continued PRECIOUS energy in that way. NOT worth it. the fact is - my relationships have been beautiful horrors. yes. smile emoticon but the operative word is beautiful! i mean BEAU-TEE-FUL - each in their own way and i wouldn't trade any one of those extraordinary experiences just to have spared myself heartache. i've had long term relationships and therefore just a few beaus - but i am on speaking terms with ALL of them. most i consider among my best friends. i'm not suggesting having an ongoing relationship of any type with your ex is the right or best thing for everyone. i am suggesting however that you divorce, for good, your relationships to the negative stories and feelings about an ex. reflect. grab the lessons. then release. works for me.... i still wear the gifts, as you see pictured here (3 different ones wink emoticon LOL). cause i don't mind remembering them. in a warm and fuzzy way. try it! #shoutouttomyex #bravotoyou get the download link in my comments

#tbt  #ShoutOutToMyEx  #BravoToYou #LessonsLearned  #VdayReMixwitNeycha "I had my big girl panties on for the ride.” TAKE 1.  Let's go. the truth is this - i highly doubt anyone has come out on the other side of an unwanted ending or break-up without being scarred in some way, however great or small.  if my skin were in fact transparent, you’d see all the marks left where cunning, emotional withholding, cowardice and outright lying stabbed me many times over.  but this is nothing special.  we all have our stories. what is important however is that we choose consciously which ones we will tell ourselves, over and over.  keeping that mix on replay in your head about how horrible your ex was - YOU KNOW THE ONE where the rotation doesn’t include YOU taking any responsibility for the dissolution of the relationship - is not only in-freakin-accurate, it’s disempowering. CHECK THIS:  if everything is your exes fault, you are at the mercy of your past and all the heartbreak that lives there. THE REMIX:  if you own the part you played in the break-up, you are no longer imprisoned by the past and the debilitating wounds that hang out there. instead you turn around and recline into love where you can reflect on the lessons you were suppose to learn and anoint them. in the vibration of love, everything is made holy.
