  Dear Y/N

I just moved into my new apartment. I can’t wait for you to see it someday. You remember that polaroid I sent you? That guy in the picture is the famous Jungkook. He probably looks different from the last photo from years ago. That’s still him and he’s still just as stupid as ever.

You have to come to Seoul soon. Even though I didn’t live directly in the city before, now I do. You have to come by and I can show you all the good places. I’ve already started painting the city from one of the windows. It’s even closer to my studio which will make commute everyday so much faster. I’ll send more photos of paintings soon and even an original. Free of charge of course. Maybe when you finish your master’s program this summer you can move up here. We can finally share all the things we talked about. You can be the big hot shot journalist and I’ll be the hotshot artist.

You can even crash at my place and I can crash at yours.

I also got commissioned by a museum down here to create an exhibit. I can’t wait, I am having an official meeting tomorrow about what it will look like. They are also going to come to my studio and maybe purchase some work off of me. I wish you could be here. I really do. So much is happening and…

Well I just want to share it with you. Finally.

When you get here the first rounds will be on me. Your first wall decoration will also be one of my pieces. No excuses okay?

Chapter One

Letter sent May 2014

Dear Jimin,

I just got registered for college! You are looking at the next best woman in journalism in South Korea. People need to start looking out for me on the streets from now on. Just kidding… unless? I feel like I finally have control of my life again though. I’m excited to start this new chapter. I kind of wish we were going to the same university you know? Our fields wouldn’t be too far off from each other. Mine in writing and your is painting.. okay maybe not at all but at least I would get to see you. What university are you going to again? Maybe if they aren’t too far apart, we could come see each other. How long has it been now? I know I say this in like every letter, but I still want to see you soon now that we are almost adults.

Practically completely different people than who we were as kids right?

Anyways? How’s the family? I know you and your stepdad have been getting along more lately? Also how is Taehyung I know last time I heard you to weren’t getting along super well. Hey if you guys are both going into art maybe you both could accelerate each other. Just a thought. I hope to see both of you soon. My sister is planning on moving to Seoul so maybe sometime when she’s there I can come see you. It’s only a two hour train ride from here, it’s crazy how close yet so far apart we are even after all this time?
