i finally added the cg (+ lau’s sprite but it’s not in any scenes yet) into the game

(ignore kav’s hair going from up in the side image to down in the cg I FORGOT TO UPDATE IT)

i forgor if i posted on this but im working on a little fan game(?) of my fanon version of the MHIRA series/gals (mostly just for personal use, though i may upload it for free on itch.io whenever i get around to getting a lot of it done) !!

it’s been real good practice for me in regards to actually working with a “complete” ren’py game, which is a plus!! i don’t think i’ve mentioned it on this account, but i like to make visual novels 👅👅 the majority of my current ocs have been designed to be centered around being in a vn, and i hope to one day finish their games

ok now that that’s out of the way here’s a preview thingy of th sprites i have!!

all their sprites are done for the most part, i just have to add more outfits for different events i plan on adding 🤤🤤

i might mess with the colors some more lowkey…but they definitely upgraded from my first designs of them (except cal, she stayed the same LOL) i will probs do their headshots in the next few days (mainly so i can get eye/face designs down)

anyways these r like,, the main hollow gals i fw so idk why it’s taken me so long to redesign them 😭😭 i have so many ideas for them but not enough time/motivation so it might be a hot minute until those come out

here r old-ish designs of them…

for the most part, their color schemes and designs have stayed the same. what i mainly changed was hair and outfits 👅👅 i also just realized that i gave blank’s arm band to ct’thon LOLL but yeah i SUCKED at designing hair to the point that cal, lau, and ct’thon all had similar front hairs (little hair and then big swoops of hair) and it always bothered me so im glad i finally changed it.

ABYWAYS i like to give my listeners their own backstories (if they’re ooc idc) (jk i do) and for this listener (kavaris or kav) i always imagined her as some tired office worker ™ who HATES her boss for making her work overtime so much and so she copes with that stress with drinking. she’s lowkenuinely a lightweight though and gets drunk easily so, after watching a sad movie and feeling lonely on one of these drunken nights, kav gets an ad for MHIRA and decides to apply. <- this is my listener’s reasoning for not knowing she signed up for MHIRA 👅👅

i also might change this, but previously i gave kav and cal a “ragebaiter” x “ragebaited” kind of dynamic bc i thought it was funny + sums up how they are in the first few episodes 🥹🥹

helmsey oh helmsey…i really hope the way helmsey and listener (estelle)’s story end is being all cutesy while obliterating pythax 🥺 since there’s technically no canon endings for some series (that im aware of), i like to imagine how the story could possibly go. for example, handsome smuggler could:

1. have helmsey and estelle successfully escape and get their happy ending

2. have one of them sacrifice themselves for the other (if it were to be helmsey she’d give estelle the ship + her necklace, if it were to be estelle she’d give helmsey the location of her people + her globe) (WE know hollow isn’t shy to kill off the listener *cough* arcane academy *cough*)

3. pythax somehow gets ahold of where the shifters live, so helmsey and estelle try to stop them from getting to the shifters

say hello to nyx!! she was my first character ag (after gacha) so i begrudgingly have to like her 🫩 idk why i made her such an ass when i first developed her bc now when i think about changing those characteristics i dont bc it doesnt seem like her 😖

ANYWAYS yeah i tried not to change them too much (since i did enjoy all 3 of their designs) so i honestly js fixed/added hair strands to them

tbh i like to imagine most of these listeners to have romantic interests with characters in their series, with the (kind of) exception of sandrine (since i can see her and niles having a platonic or romantic relationship). anywaysss yeah i finally made headshots of what i imagined listeners to look like when listening to these series (as usually i don’t imagine myself in the listener’s shoes with these kind of things LMFAO)

i’m currently revamping my interpretations on fem mhira, arcane academy, and handsome smuggler gals but i have my knights of dusk gals!! these r definitely up for changing, but i quite like how they turned out 🧘
