This design was informed by the duality of muscle contraction and expansion, resulting in a designed bracing structure which, when expanded, would enclose the ceiling and floor to create a rehearsal space with a synchronised swimming pool beneath, and when contracted, pull the components apart to form an open-air performance stage.

The slime lines were taken from rescaled silhouettes of the mutants collaged from previous contours in my Moleskine and connected at random on the reverse of the substrate (similar to the process from Cicada Sprawl).

PRETTY GIRLS DIG GRAVES, 2012, ink on paper. A little something as an apology to Wendy of Panache Halloweentown for not getting around to doing a collab with her. "Pretty girls dig graves" is a line that stuck with me from Kerouac's 'Dharma Bums' that I thought was a fitting description of Wendy.
