Michel Robinavitch has evaded professional psychiatric help for far too long; so when Jack Abbot becomes fed up with finding him on the roof after every shift, he is confronted with the terrifying reality that is an inpatient psychiatric stay.

Dennis Whitaker is a young Psychiatrist working in an inpatient unit in rural Pennsylvania. His most recent intake leaves him feeling puzzled, intrigued, and determined to find out more about the despondent man who has given up on himself.

Will their short time together make a difference in Robby’s outlook on his life? Will Dennis feel satisfied by the work he is able to do with him? Will it leave them both mourning what could be possible had they met outside of the confines of the doctor-patient relationship?

Whitsantos makes me so fucking crazy and it's so obvious how much Dennis loves Trinity and how much he gets her, knows exactly the kind of person she is.

"You leave your dirty clothes everywhere." Meaning Dennis goes home after a punishing day at work and feels free to shed his skin.

"You eat all of my avocados as soon as they ripen." Meaning a previously food-insecure Dennis, who was sneaking sandwiches at work, knows for keeps that he will be fed.

"You keep pausing the tv to ask the dumbest questions." Meaning Dennis knows that Trinity will answer his questions, no matter how dumb.

Dennis Whitaker feels safe with Trinity Santos. End of transmission.
