She messed up real big this time. There’s no sugar coating that. No going around it. It was her fault. She knew better than to pry into such matters. And now she has a color gang keeping an eye on her. Who’s to say she won’t end up getting hurt because of this.

His words are so kind. And she wants to believe in what he said. Only because it’s Shinra, her half-brother. Someone who she’s grown to care about. There’s that look of confliction in her eyes. 

“Yeah, but I….” Words trail off, unsure of what she should say or even do next. “I made a mistake. I’m only being more of a burden now.”

    ❛ but . . . you’re not a burden at all , ❜ while she could be curious , shinra could tell the difference between innocence and malice , especially when one of his closest relations is called the definition of such.  ❛ if that was the case . . . i don’t think i’d be speaking to you right now . ❜  that is, unless celty told him to ━━  in truth, she’s the foundation for his social life, worrying about him so much, ever since he was much younger .

❛ if i’m being honest , i wouldn’t consider myself 'in-the-know’ of all the latest gangs ━━  what i know is . . . just from the news or what i overhear . ❜

fortunately, he hadn’t … even with his glaring eyes .

〞 The hell are you goin’ on about . . . ? 〞to be frank , shizuo couldn’t care less on whatever it is , despite the anger that arose; always so typical for shinra to bother his ass .

She wasn’t expecting him to show such an interest in her game. And for a split moment, she hesitates with how to respond. “There’s really not much to it.” She slides over the portable console his way so he can give it a try. 

“It’s a rhythm game so all you have to do is match the note with their corresponding buttons. But you have to make sure to press the buttons at the right time…”

    ❛ well . . . my reflexes aren’t the best , but , if you say so . ❜ with newfound focus did he situate his hands on the console; it wasn’t exactly unfamiliar to him, but the genre certainly was. the detailed ghouls he’d encounter in the supernatural genre were nothing like what was on-screen. there was much more going on than what he’s used to . . . !

“ah, well…” She stares down at her phone. Well, what was left of it anyway. The thing was completely smashed. “I was letting Shizuo-kun borrow it for a minute. And well… Someone happened to piss him off at that exact time.” 

She told Shizuo not to worry about it. He didn’t do it on purpose. But it was still a little disheartening to see her phone in such a state.
