“I’m not saying we handle this ourselves Rudy. We’ll call…. I’ll call my old social worker and see if he knows anything bout her. But in the meantime we have to go looking for her” Callie couldn’t believe that she just told her boyfriend that she had a social worker.

Rudy rolled his eyes– he didn’t want to have to deal with this, it all seemed too much after just having gotten over the drama at Broken and finally become some sort of happy family. “Fine. Fine. Lets look for her.” 

Kira walked over to Rudy and whispered "I'll help mom look, you can stay here with Andy" Kira looked over at her mom who was already on the phone with her old social worker asking bout Lexi. "I know you don't know Brandy but she's a whore. When she was looking after me for a few hours, she was in the other room having sex with some guy who wasn't the guy I saw her with when grandma dropped me off. That's one reason why mom won't have anything to do with Brandy. When I was there I broke my arm I climbed onto the counter in the kitchen to get a bowl and I fell, Brandy was to busy to even hear the crash or the scream to even bother to see what happened"

Rudy let out a loud sigh “I understand where you’re coming from, Kira, but let me protect your mother. Please, just listen to me for once.” 

Kira sighed and sat down beside her brother “if I hear yelling I’m leaving Andy to see what’s going on okay” she said seriously looking at Rudy.

He nodded, gently petting her hair “okay, thank you, Kira” Rudy replied, leaning down to kiss her cheek before heading out to help Callie.

Kira sighed and laid back on her bed as Rudy left to be with her mom. Kira could faintly hear what they were talking about, she still didn't know why the girl is even here.

Rudy let out a loud sigh “I understand where you’re coming from, Kira, but let me protect your mother. Please, just listen to me for once.”

aRudy groaned loudly “Kira. stay here and look after your brother and let your mother and I handle this, okay? stop being so childish. I need you to help with your brother”

“You’re gonna leave mom by herself!” Kira crossed her arms “with her possible half sister” she whispered. “Mom needs us right now Dad. Andy’s gonna be okay for a bit by himself”. She looked to her younger brother who was focused on the Disney show on the tv. “We don’t even know why Lexi’s even here. What if she was forced to come to get something from mom like money or something.”

Rudy let out an angry sigh and stood “I’m not, Kira. Now please, just behave. Stay here with your brother and I’ll look after your mother. Stay. here.” 

"I'm not going to stay here Rudy, I'm gonna come" the eighteen year old said stubbornly as she placed her hand on the doorknob and gently started to turn it. "I'm coming"

Rudy took the children into the bedroom and sat them down on the bed “Now, we all need to stay here, okay?” he spoke, his voice somewhat serious “We don’t know what’s happening, so I need you both to cooperate for a while, okay?” 

"You're gonna leave mom by herself!" Kira crossed her arms "with her possible half sister" she whispered. "Mom needs us right now Dad. Andy's gonna be okay for a bit by himself". She looked to her younger brother who was focused on the Disney show on the tv. "We don't even know why Lexi's even here. What if she was forced to come to get something from mom like money or something."

“A girl at the door? Why would their be someone here at 6:15?” She sighed looking at the clock on the bedside table “can’t we talk about this when we all had a little bit more sleep” she mumbled as she walked out of her room sleepily. “Do we know anyone about this girl? What did she say?”

Rudy groaned and grabbed her arm “Callie. There’s a strange girl at our door, she’s soaking wet and I have no idea who she is. We need to address this matter now.” 

He nodded and turned, piking up Andy and carrying him before moving to Kira “Come on, Kira.. We’re going to your room… Leave the girl”

The girl Kira was staring at couldn’t be much older than Clara. The brunette girl played with the sleeves of her soaked sweater looking down at her shoes as she answered the older male. “I’m Lexi, Lexi Bates, uhm my moms Brandy.” Kira stood more into the doorframe and called Rudy over. “Dad?” She usually never called Rudy dad unless she really needed his attention and she didn’t want the girl to know his name yet . When he didn’t hear her she cleared her voice and tried again “Dad”

Rudy turned at the sound of Kira’s voice, his blue eyes watching her closely “What’s wrong?” he asked, usually she never called him such a thing “Kira, someone there?”

Kira waved Rudy over into a room where neither the girl nor Andy could hear her. "Grandma's name is Brandy. I think that girl's mom sister. We should get mom up and get Nick here. They have to know what happened to the girl and why she's here"

“But you prowise Keera” Andy pouted again looking at his dad “She prowised” Kira looked to Rudy and shook her head mouthing “I didn’t promise, I said I’d see” Kira walked into the kitchen and poured herself a bowl of cereal, her stomach started to growl at her

Rudy snorted “You’re cute, little man, But I’m not falling for your tricks” he chuckled, carrying him out to the kitchen “What kind of cereal, huh?” 

“No trick daddy” Andy said with the same pout on his face. Kira started to eat the cinnamon toast crunch cereal as there was a knock on the door. “I dunno who that could be its way to early for anyone to be up. Want me to get the door Rudy?”

Rudy frowned and gently put Andy down “Kira, watch your brother.. I’ll get the door..” He frowned, walking over to answer it cautiously “Hello?”

Kira sat Andy on a chair and placed a bowl of fruit loop cereal in front of her brother as Rudy got the door. A young brunette girl girl was shivering as the door opened. She was soaked to the bone “are you…. Is uhm are you… I’m looking for Callie. Callie Delany?” Kira’s head popped up when she heard the person asking for her mom. She stood up from the kitchen and stood in the doorframe of the kitchen peeking to the front door where the stranger was unable to see the blonde but she could see the brunette perfectly.

Rudy frowned immediately as he watched the strange girl “Who are you?” He asked, waiting for a response– he needed to make sure she was safe before getting Callie involved.
