AUDITIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR ANNABETH AND GROVER!

As you all know, I’m working on my thesis, which is Production Design for a Percy Jackson and the Olympians animated series, focusing on the Lightning Thief (click here for more information)

I’ll be animating a minute-long trailer, which means I’ll be needing voice actors. The script is still in the process of finalization, so I’m not sure which characters need voices so I’ll be starting with casting Percy, Annabeth and Grover first.

For those interested in auditioning, here’s how you do it:

Send audio recordings of yourself saying 3-5 lines as the character you’d like to play (I recommend using direct quotes from the book) to my e-mail address, [email protected] with the subject “VO: Annabeth, [your full name]” or “VO: Grover, [your full name]”

 If you like, you can also include a message of why you’d like to play the part and what you can offer to the role.

Please send in your files as .mp3, with the file name: “[FullName]VOAnn” or “[FullName]VOGrov” for example: “IshelMascarinasVOAnn.mp3”

Try to limit the background noise as much as possible. I want to actually hear your voice, not the birds singing outside your window :)

What am I looking for for Annabeth?

As much as possible, I’d like her to sound like an actual 12-year-old. If you’re an actual 12-year-old girl, great! It’s not required though. If you’re slightly older/younger, but could pass as 12, you’re welcome to audition!

For Grover:

For Grover, I’m not really sure what I’m looking for, but I’d imagine he sounds a bit older that Percy and Annabeth.

Try and choose lines that will show some emotional range for both characters.
