Pretty hyped for the Resident Evil Code Veronica remake
Always been a big fan of Code Veronica. It's got a lot of stuff that I love about it, but it's always had some rough edges which is the perfect type of thing to remake I think. Keep all the cool ideas and smooth out those edges. Like Claire Redfield has always been my favorite protagonist, the most kind and protective soul but also an absolute unit when it's go time, so I'm VERY happy to see her back after how much Capcom has been neglecting the classic woman of Resident Evil like Jill and Claire while giving every new entry to Leon and Chris. Code Veronica has always had some pretty great monster designs as well like the Bandersnatch or the returning Hunters, and some of the coolest bosses like that games version of the Tyrant, Nosferatu/Alexander, Alexia Ashford. And the setting of Umbrella's weird prison/training facility island where a lot of messed up stuff is going on has always been really cool to me as well. It's mostly just some questionable and sometimes weirdly phobic writing decisions (some of the stuff with Alfred), some performances and some gameplay quirks that have held it back, but I've always felt like if you ironed that stuff out, it would potentially be the best Resident Evil game.
