Something I desperately need leftists online to understand is that when conservatives talk about "elites", they aren't talking about billionaires or politicians or CEOs or whatever. They are talking about Jews. When you try to connect with conservatives by complaining about how the "elites" are controlling and ruining society, you are talking about Jews. You may not realize that (or maybe you do, leftists are also antisemitic as fuck), but that is what the racist conservative you're talking to is hearing. It ends up being a conversation about how Jews control the world and are ruining our lives for their own benefit, an extremely common and dangerous antisemitic conspiracy theory, all without ever saying the word Jew.
Sometimes using conservative language to connect with people helps build bridges and foster more understanding between communities. Sometimes it just means that you're picking up dogwhistles that become a normalized part of your vocabulary and can help radicalize you to bigoted extremism through the people and conversations that those dogwhistles attract.
If you have posts on your blog about "Zionists" controlling the media and ruining people's careers for criticizing Israel, then this post is also about you. You are not immune to falling for antisemitic conspiracy theories just because they say "Zionists" instead of "Jews" or "elites."

God I miss when blatant antisemitism was a mark of the right wing. It was so much better when the only blatantly antisemitic people were expressing a wide variety of hate. It was more manageably discouraging.

The usual claim I've seen is that we are safe everywhere and the idea we aren't is Evil Zionist Brainwashing to convince us to be far right out of desperation and all they really need to do is "deprogram us" and convince us we're imagining the dangers.'' I've also seen, alternatively "have you tried wanting to be safe everywhere", as if the problem is us not wanting to feel safe and that lack of desire for safety anywhere but Israel is somehow causing us to imagine the whole "people who take no money from AIPAC and denounce the Israeli government are called AIPAC stooges and chased out of pride parades if they're Jewish" and "trying to kill Jewish preschoolers that live in America and have nothing to do with Israel is a sympathetic protest of Israeli policy" stuff.
Because naturally, Jews cannot be trusted to comprehend our own lived experiences when those lived experiences contradict what would be convenient for People Who Matter.

In 1990, the high school dropout rate for Dolly Parton's hometown of Sevierville Tennessee was at 34% (Research shows that most kids make up their minds in fifth/sixth grade not to graduate). They were asked to pick a buddy, and if both students completed high school, Dolly Parton would personally hand them each a $500 check on their graduation day. That year The Dollywood Foundation paid the salaries for additional teachers assistants in every first grade class for the next 2 years, under the agreement that if the program worked, the school system would effectively adopt and fund the program after the trial period.
During the same period, Parton founded the Imagination Library in 1995: The idea being that children from her rural hometown and low-income families often start school at a disadvantage and as a result, will be unfairly compared to their peers for the rest of their lives, effectively encouraging them not to pursue higher education. The objective of the Imagination library was that every child in Sevier County would receive one book, every month, mailed and addressed to the child, from the day they were born until the day they started kindergarten, 100% free of charge. What began as a hometown initiative now serves children in all 50 states, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, mailing thousands of free books to children around the world monthly.
On March 1, 2018 Parton donated her 100 millionth book at the Library of Congress: a copy of "Coat of Many Colors" dedicated to her father, who never learned to read or write.
Dolly Parton could have been a billionaire 3 times over but actively chose to give her money away to cause after cause for charity. She was an incredible musician and artist but more importantly lived with compassion and kindness and with the drive to help those around her in every way she could. God I’m sad.
