As bummed as i am about certain characters being cut out in stampede/stargaze i do think they did a pretty good job developing the characters they did include
They expand the backgrounds and motivations on several characters pretty drastically but im a huge fan of how they furthered the development of meryl specifically even though it was more lowkey
I do love the manga but I feel meryl’s motivations were not as flushed out as they could have been and most of what she does after july happens off screen and we don’t see her again until right before the finale battle.
So having her be present in vash’s post eriks adventures is a pleasant surprise and i am really liking how they are introducing the plant/human communication thing specifically in relation to meryl
Idk i love her and while I don’t think either version is necessarily better or worse im just really enjoying what they have done with her so far in stargaze
