   “ GOOD MORNING ! i have so many teas today, what would you like ? ” her smile is infectious, spreading throughout her. before thor and erik she would never smile like this. she’d stay hidden behind doors , raised on the idea that children should not be SEEN or HEARD. her father hated her silly games , never once choosing to spend a minute of his time with her. every second spent with him was always one filled with pain. but with gentle hands and gentle smiles , she was brought away from the terror she’d come to call father.     she wasn’t all too familiar with the concept of HOME or belonging , but this place . . . this place feels like how she thinks it should be. like the feeling of hot chocolate on a winter’s night, or the feeling of being held. before, she’d felt so fragile. but erik and thor had taught her to be strong , and she promised herself she’d NEVER go back. home is where the heart is , and she’s given it to the hands of erik killmonger. sometimes she has to stand close to him to make sure she can still hear it beating.

He welcomed her happy attitude with a smile, taking a seat next to her and looking at the tea collection she had assorted for them. When she smiled, the whole room lit up as if screaming that something was right in this moment. At the back of his mind, he wondered only lightly about what he would do if someone tried to take her away from him, a fear that he wasn’t doing enough to protect her from the things she didn’t talk about. But he shouldn’t be focusing on those thoughts now. He instead leaned down and placed a kiss to her forehead as if to say you’re the best thing to happen to me. 

He was used to how things were, a follower of routine. He would wake up, go about his business, and then retire, it was the way it was supposed to be. However, from the first day she was found, everything changed. Erik believed in kindness to children, and seeing how much Thor cared for the girl, he decided it was better to take care of her at least until the issue was settled.

Sitting in his makeshift bunker’s throne, he nodded to his friends signaling that it was time for their daily tea time. He knows that the others tease him behind his back, saying that he was weak for doing so. At first, he tried to ignore the girl, keeping her away until Thor would return but now it had been weeks and still nothing found of her family’s situation. Until she was safe to return, it was decided that she would stay here with him, under the heavy protection of Thor on the outside, and hidden from the darker aspects of what happens here.
