i understand my mom is struggling but i feel like i’m bashing my head against the wall talking to her sometimes

it’s like she wants me here and doesn’t want to be alone but then everything i say makes her get snippy and/or full-blown upset with me. the other night turned into an hours long meltdown where she yelled at me until 3am and at one point screamed at me to shut up. but because she’s suicidal the expectation is that i stay with her every second. it just doesn’t seem fair but i have no clue what’s right to do

like i feel like if i leave she’ll hurt herself but also being around her is torture and she’s being so aggressive and mean that i’m also scared for my safety

i actually hate Jesse Welles’ music so much like come on man

it’s just so literalistic but not in a cool way. it takes no skill to just name shit in the news and barely interpret it or actually comment on it. i appreciate that a leftist musician has a big audience but he’s just not that good

don’t care how to articulate this fully but chess the musical sounds like it was composed by aliens who heard all the music humans have ever produced played at once and then didn’t quite realize that human voices have limitations

as someone who listens to an extreme amount of klezmer and other slavic folk music i feel very at home with it. like the way it oscillates between kind of standard 80s musical fare and melodies that sound like a polish metal band would’ve written it it genuinely baffling (complimentary)
