psa regarding activity- please read!
hey everyone. i know i'm just a chat mod, but i really want to say something. if the main mods all agree it isn't my place to post this, i'll delete it. but until then...
august and september were very, very slow for us. probably as slow as i've ever seen this group. this is upsetting, at least for me, for various reasons.
firstly, i love you all. i enjoy rping and talking ooc with you, and consider you all dear friends. not getting to talk to some of you for weeks at a time is pretty saddening, and i can't speak for anyone else, but i'd like to think most of us feel similarly on this.
secondly, this group was absolutely jumping in its heyday. i think the most people i recall in the chat without character doubles is 9 or 10, which is cutting close to the limit if the room isn't premium (which it is, i believe). now it's 3 or 4 at a time, at most, and it always ends up with people having to leave or just peacing out for whatever reason and very little rp at all..
and thirdly, there's new hetalia content!! with our fandom re-emerging from the shadows and the great himapapa putting out new webcomics for us to enjoy, i'd think that there would be some wave of nostalgia that would bring some of us back, make us want to rp more, etc. but maybe not.
trust me, i know some of you are busy, whether it be with school or work or family or whatever life obligations you have. that's fine! real life always comes first. but stopping by the chat to say 'hello, sorry i've been gone, i'm super busy,' is that so hard? i'd really hope not, otherwise why did you join in the first place? of course, there's always the option of going on hiatus, if you need it, and some of our members are currently on hiatus and we eagerly await their return. but if you aren't on hiatus and you never show your face we're going to assume the worst! you don't want that, i'm a worrier :(
and the dash. i can almost see cobwebs on it. there's absolutely no rp on the dash right now. yes, chatzy is much more convenient, and i'd say probably 90% of our activity is there... but that's not really good. i'm guilty of forgetting about replies, of course, but with more activity on the dash i feel like i, and others, would be more mindful of it.
this is getting pretty long so i'll try to wrap it up. as a member of this group for over a year now, i'm really just not liking how low the activity level is. if it stays this way or even worsens, it could mean the end of hetalia city altogether... and i don't want that, i really don't. so i hope we can find ways to improve, and get back in a good rp groove! i'd like to be able to recruit for new members, but i feel that activity should increase before this, you know?
