Why is it ironic? Because E/riels have been very loud about their devotion to the gardener x spymaster trope and how Elain has been very sneaky during Acosf, yada yada. But, ironically, Lucien is the first “spymaster” mentioned on the series lmao. He might not be Spymaster by title, but he’s sly, cautious, and collects secret information as an emissary.

I’m a Gwynriel but I’ve always liked the idea of Elucien (azriel and elain made me cringe on the previous books lol). Now, with the upcoming realise I feel it’s the perfect moment to get closer to Elucien, which will definitely be the next couple (prayers).
