AH! THEY'RE FINALLY FINISHED!
Lowkey fallen in love with these guys, so allow me to formally introduce Tonitru and Fulgur - The Twin Princes. Tonitru and Fulgur are the twin sons of Asarin, the elder half-brother of Loranas, making Tonitru and Fulgur the elder cousins of Kairasan, and thus second in line to take the title of Deadly Sin of Lust.
Their early childhood was pretty normal - They lived a happy, luxurious life with their Mam and Da, and did absolutely everything together. And I mean everything. They had the same hobbies, played the same sports, liked the same music. If they were ever doing something alone, chances are it was because one of them was that sick that they couldn't get out of bed. That's how rare it was to see them apart. And a lot of that closeness came from Tonitru being as much a brother to Fulgur as he was his carer, as Fulgur has tourettes syndrome, which he used to get teased for a lot, when they were kids.
It was just shortly after their 13th birthday that their normal life would take a pretty drastic turn. Fulgur was desperate to go to this new arcade that had opened up, that had games from as early as the 20th century. It was a kid's dream. After days of endless begging, Asarin eventually caved and took Fulgur to the arcade, being one of the only times Tonitru was happy to sit it out, as he was never really big on video games. Because of a recent attack, the area they were travelling through was on pretty high alert, with several military checkpoints having been set up, as a precaution. They didn't expect any follow up attacks, but better to keep the populous safe. And it was business as usual, until there was suddenly a massive explosion.
Turns out the group of angel supremacists who'd attacked the Ring of Lust just before had launched a second attack, with Asarin and Fulgur being caught in the crossfire. As people panicked, Asarin grabbed the terrified Fulgor and abandoned his car to try and find a safe space to hide. But as they fled, an angel swooped down in front of them; Asarin leapt at the angel, telling Fulgor to run, but before he could even turn to leave, the angel had impaled Asarin on the end of his spear. Terrified, the young Fulgor charged a blast of lightning and fired it at the angel, killing him, the heat of the lightning scorching his skin, and the force breaking his arm. Learning of the chaos, Gentiana, the Deadly Sin of Greed, arrived at the scene alongside Geremiah, the Deadly Sin of Gluttony and Loranas. The Sins managed to contain the attack, rounding up the attackers, before Loranas discovered Fulgor in the aftermath, hunched over a body. He ran over, and saw his older brother lying lifeless on the ground, his shirt stained with blood, the angel's spear still lodged in his stomach. He picked up Fulgor, who'd completely shut down, by this point, fear and grief having finally set in, and ordered Gentiana to take Asarin's body to the Council, whilst he took Fulgor home. Although being home wouldn't last.
Tonitru and Fulgor's mother, overwhelmed by the loss of her husband, sought to blame to try and cope with her grief. And the only one who was there, when Asarin died, was Fulgor. Thus, the blame was pointed to him. She took them to Loranas' palace, like any other time they went to visit their uncle, but when it came to take them home, their mother had vanished. Their home was empty, all their belongings, gone, alongside their mother. So with no real choice, Loranas took the boys and raised them as his own.
