Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader
Prompt: You are on a date with Steve Harrington, but you unexpectedly find yourself stuck in the bathroom with Eddie Munson.
Fluff, mention of drugs.
Steve was in his element. He was slaying bear pong despite being visibly drunk already and he was telling tales of his misfortunate adventures while working at the Scoops Ahoy. You never had much in common with Steve if not your friendship with Robin. In fact it was her that pushed you two to go on a date, something that the both of you found almost annoying, but pushy as she is, Robin managed to set you up on a date with him.
He was a good guy, you could tell by his eyes when he would talk about Robin, or his friends, or Nancy â which he was still extremely in love with â but you were complete opposites.
The room started to get crowded when Steve won, once again and he was ready to challenge someone else âKing of bear pongâ he would call himself. You almost fell when someone pushed you to get in front, just to high five Steve and at that point you had enough. You could smell the scent of young youth in the heat of a rebellious moment, which made you sneer. You tried to make your way out of that massive crowd of drunk teenagers, and when you made it you took a deep breath.
Slowly, you started to walk around that massive house, which you didnât even know who it belonged to. There wasnât much conversation in the car, as the gentleman that he was, Steve picked you up at yours, blasted some music and drove to the house party. He did however sing here and there, trying to make eye contact with you, but you knew that you would have laughed at his singing if you did look at him. It wasnât exactly your ideal that Iâm doing it for Robin you kept telling yourself. At some point you thought that Robin insisting so much on you and Steve going out, was simply to benefit her⌠Her dating life wasnât exactly the best since Steve was always by her side.
You decided to look for a bathroom and you found one, to your surprise. The lights were on, and you locked the door behind you. The white walls in contrast to the yellow walls around the house made your eyes blink for a bit, trying to get used to the new ambience. âHe is not even my type, what am I doing hereâŚâ you whispered to yourself walking to the mirror, so you could fix yourself.
âWhoâs not your type?â you heard behind you, and soon after the curtain around the bathtub were moved to reveal a guy casually laying in the bathtub and looking at you.
You didnât scream, but you could feel your heart racing against your chest âJesusâŚâ you whispered.
âNo, just Eddie here.â
Eddie Munson, you saw him almost every day at school and you most definitely heard stories about him. âI didnât know there was someone here already, Iâll goâ you quickly said walking towards the door and once you reached to the handle to open the door⌠stuck. The handle wasnât moving, you quickly looked at Eddie, your eyes wide open in surprise and almost despair.
âYeah⌠about that, itâs broken. You can only open in from the outsideâ he said while playing with a coin in his hand. He would throw it in the air and catch it in the palm of his hand.
âAnd why on Earth would you let me close it?!â
âI donât know, I thought it would be fun to move the party hereâ he said while looking at you, trying to hold a laugh. He seemed quite calm to be stuck in a bathroom and who knows for how long he had been in there already. You did not see the logic in that and you knew he was being sarcastic, but why wouldnât you say anything? Regardless, you were not about to fight with the only person who seemed almost happy to entertain a conversation with you. Eddie moved his legs, and pointed at the space in the bath in front of him âCome, letâs wait for the othersâ he jokingly said. You crawled up inside the bath and held your legs against your chest, looking at him. âSo⌠whoâs not even your type?â he asked in a quirky tone, he seemed truly interested in that piece of information.
âSteve Harrington. Iâm on a date with himâ you said trying to not show your complete disdain about the whole situation.
âAnd now you are stuck in a bathroom with me, what a interesting twist of eventsâ
You had to laugh at his eccentricity, he was still playing with that coin âWhat are you doing here? It doesnât seem like the type of place where you would hang outâ
The coin dropped in the bathtub.
An intrigued look was now placed on his face âAnd what type of place would I usually hang out in?â he asked you. The eye contact was almost intimidating, but he seemed at ease, playing his bottom lip with his fingers.
âI donât know, somewhere with rock music, a bit dark and mysteriousâ
âSo, by definition, you are calling me dark and mysteriousâ he said all pleased
You chuckled at his puffed chest. âIf thatâs what you want to hear, then sure, yeah!â
He laughed as well âWell, you donât look like the type of person that would be here eitherâ he said to then continue with a smirk âEspecially with Steve Harringtonâ
You were not about to let him know the dynamics behind that so far failed date âWhy were you in here anyway?â
Eddie looked at you as if the answer to that question was quite obvious, but he still went to look for something in his pocket and took out a rolled up blunt âIn case someone needs my friend Maryâ
And so you thought the voices about him being a junkie were true after all, but there looking at him and at his constant smile, you couldnât help but think that it was genuine and not caused by the effect of some drugs âAny luck in selling tonight?â
âUnfortunately, you are the only person that came in here tonight. I must have chosen the wrong bathroom to set up my businessâ he said shaking his head, making some of his hair that was previously tucked behind his ears, cover his cheeks. He looked at you as with a sparkle in his eyes and his smile started to show again âDo you smoke?â You didnât, but you shrugged in response and so he lit up the blunt and passed it to you. Taking the smoke in you felt as if youâre whole chest was on fire, causing you to cough which made Eddie laugh at you, but you didnât mind it. You were starting to get used to his high-pitched laugh, finding it almost cute âAnd so you are not that much of a good girl, are you Y/N?â
You raised an eyebrow at his passing him the blunt to him âHow do you know my name?â you said still coughing a little.
âOh, honey. Iâd be a fool not to know your nameâ he said with the blunt between in his lips, you could feel your cheeks turning red at the speed of a racing car and Eddie took notice, feeling proud of himself for causing such a reaction âShould be leave this party now?â he said while getting out of the bathtub.
âWe are stuck, remember?â you said quickly getting out of the bathtub as well.
And so you saw him reaching to the window on top of the toilet âHave a little faithâ he said looking back at you, he gave you a smile followed by a wink, and then he jumped.
You felt your heart drop again thinking he must have hurt himself or worse, but you sighed when heard him screaming out a rush of adrenaline, and then you jumped as well.
