How to Solve KEYDIY KD-X2 Unable to Recognize Avensis F433 Key with TDB03-3 Problem?
Customer problem:
I bought two KEYDIY KD TDB03-3(Silver Gray)Remote Keys to work with KD-X2. The first key for Avensis F433 was generated successfully, but the second one failed.
Without battery key is read, but with battery don't work. When I press button not respond not frequency detection red indicator not blinking. An error message appeared “Unable to recognize!”
Solution:
Remove the battery before starting the generation process
Put KD TDB03-3 remote on the detection area of KEYDIY KD-X2 Remote Maker
Navigate to Remote Function-> Car Remote-> Select the related key model-> Generate-> Wireless Generate
Put the battery into the remote, just by half a centimeter
Wait the generation process is complete, and the key will be generated successfully.

KEYDIY KD-X4 Add a Key to 2021 Chevrolet Onix Guide
A 2021 Chevrolet Onix was brought in for a spare key programming job. Even though the vehicle already had three registered keys, the KEYDIY KD-X4 completed the entire add-key procedure smoothly via the CAN FD system. No PIN code was required, and the new key was successfully programmed through the OBD connection.
Generate the KD Key
Place the original key on the KD-X4 induction coil and identify the transponder chip.
Check the remote frequency. The original key in this vehicle is 433 MHz.
Go to: Remote Function → Vehicle Remote → CHEVROLET Onix (2019+) Folding ID4A → Generate → Wireless Generation
After generation is completed, return to the main menu.
Enter Immobilizer Programming
Connect the KD-X4 to the vehicle and enter:
Immo Programming → CHEVROLET → Select by Vehicle → South America → Onix → 2020-2023 → Mechanical Key CANFD → TYPE 9 (CAN FD) → Start Execution
Read the number of registered keys. This vehicle shows 3 keys stored.
Select Add Keys (Without Password)to continue with password-free key learning.
Learn the New Key
Turn the ignition ON and start the learning procedure.
The system reads the VIN and automatically retrieves the vehicle password. Confirm and continue.
Wait for the 12-minute security countdown.
When prompted, switch the ignition OFF, remove the original key, insert the generated KD key, then turn it back ON and hold for 5 seconds.
The hazard lights flash once the key has been successfully learned.
Check the Result
Read the registered key count again and confirm the new key has been added.
Follow the final ignition prompt to complete the procedure.
Test the newly added KD key.
Verification
The vehicle starts normally and the remote functions operate correctly.
Workshop Notes Good news for locksmiths! Even though this vehicle uses CAN FD communication, the KEYDIY KD-X4 5-in-1 Key Programmer completes the key programming process directly through the OBD port. No extra CAN FD adapter is required, making the job faster and more convenient.
How to Add Smart Key for 2024 Ford Mondeo RH850 BCM with KEYDIY KD-X4?
On this 2024 Ford Mondeo equipped with an RH850 BCM, we use the KEYDIY KD-X4 Key Programmer to successfully program a new KD ZB21-4 Smart Key. The process begins with reading the BCM data on bench mode for secure access, and is completed by performing key learning back on the vehicle via OBD. No additional reset, EEPROM removal, or adaptation procedures are required.
1.BCM Removal & Bench Wiring
BCM needs to be accessed and set up for data reading.
Remove BCM from under the front passenger seat
Wire BCM according to the diagram and connect programming leads
Plug OTG cable into mobile device for KD app connection
Install 100Ω resistor between yellow point and red solder joint before reading
If read fails, add 1Ω resistor at pink solder joint and retry
2.BCM Data Read (Anti-theft File)
Read and save BCM data from bench setup.
Open KD app and go to: Immo Programming → KD-X4→ Read file → IMMO → Ford → BCM_R7F701053 → Read
Wait for successful read confirmation on screen
Save the file locally and keep it for vehicle programming
3.In-Vehicle Key Learning (OBD)
Move back to vehicle for key matching.
Connect OBD cable and switch ignition ON
Enter key programming menu: Key Addition→ Load the saved BCM file → Confirm key count
Place KD key in induction area (armrest box zone) and confirm learning
4.Verification
Start the engine with the newly programmed key. Check ignition start is normal and key response is OK.
